  1. If you hike into the Mountain Lakes Wilderness in south central Oregon via the Varney Creek Trail you'll find the On The Edge cache. The cache is placed just outside the Wilderness Area so as to keep it legal. Then you can continue up the trail and spend the night at one of the many high mountain lakes on the loop.
  2. If I recall correctly Logscaler volunteered you to mow the lawn one weekend and me the next. To save us both some trouble and travel time I suggest we each be responsible for 6 month at a time. I'll take the period of October-March and you can have April-September. Oh what the heck, I'm a nice guy and I'll take September too and only make you take 5 months.
  3. Well Jeffrey, now that you've been caching in the Basin for awhile and are addicted to the sport it's time you learned our dirty little secrets. With the upcoming event cache you're going to meet the cachers we keep hidden in the closet. We have an unsavory assortment of fowl cachers, unambitious cachers and the worst of the lot is one that has adopted the name of a Lane County park in Goshen, Oregon. He's the worst. Be brave and remember the odds of running into us outside of an event cache is very remote.
  4. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good cache
  5. Once again we have living proof that you should never ever ever post under the influence of drugs or wacko websites. At best you end up with a hangover and looking....well....silly the next day.
  6. I had no idea I was such an impressive character bufford is a bigwig here bufford is one of the great leaders of american history bufford is known far and wide for the depth of knowledge he possesses concerning the subject and science of preparing authentic field rations bufford is a guy that leads by example bufford is his caller and matt pulls when bufford says pull bufford is one of the most prolific and intellectually spontaneous opinion writers in california's central district bufford is attempting to give smith what her deceased husband did not intend for her to receive bufford is a good runner for a quarterback
  7. We'll all drink as much beer as you bring and I plan on being really thirsty. You're allowed to spew over the fence onto the parking lot of the apartment building behind the house, noisy sobs. As a matter of fact there's a prize for whoever spews the most.
  8. Oh man, I was all excited about a new cache and it's in that state that starts with a C that I try to detour around whenever possible.
  9. Since your cache, like everyone else's in Oregon, seems like it's never going to be approved why don't you send me a copy of the posting for it and I'll let you know if you succeeded or not
  10. Have you ever been known to fail when you tried to do something?
  11. I couldn't agree more my friend. And of course no Butte Falls caching outfit is complete without these
  12. I guess my question would have to be, who doesn't?
  13. Slow down and don't worry. There is help available here
  14. Can you hear it LB? It's the Basin calling you. It's saying "Come to me oh lazy one. Come find my many and variable difficulty caches." It's also saying "Ignore those tough ones put out by a certain insane cacher, they'll only make you mad."
  15. Mentally superior people look for caches put out by insane people to prove their superiority. I keep repeating that over and over and over and over again. Can you hear the voices?
  16. It really was a well done cache but I would never admit that for fear of encouraging you and/or making your head swell so instead I'll just have to agree with LB's initial comment. But then again your screwed up mind comes up with some great caches so you're not a total loss to society.
  17. Fortunately for all local cachers girlie hands fit nicely around girlie necks. The cache is no longer a virgin. I teamed up with a cacher who has very big hands to solve this one. I think he even smashed his thumb on this one and mentioned something about vengeance. But don't worry, we all still love you and can hardly wait for the next event to STRIKE up a conversation.
  18. Phase 1: Collect Underpants, Phase 2: ???, Phase 3: Profit If I'm not mistaken there is a profit to be made on underpants on ebay. Once again I'm sharing my vast knowledge.
  19. Now honestly, would I know the latin name if I was making it up? Look it up yourself and then you can tell me you're sorry for ever doubting me.
  20. I know exactly what kind of bird that is. It's a pullus fimus. This area is lousy with 'em. Don't thank me, I'm just happy to be able to share my vast knowledge with others less learned than myself.
  21. Ok, the worst wasn't over yet....need I say more? I'm trying to recall at exactly what point I rolled around naked in a patch of heat rash leaves. It's the only explanation I can think of. I still stand by my (itch) earlier statement (scratch) that I had a lot of fun (rub against chair) and it was worth it.
  22. And what makes you think I didn't stick a handful in my shorts? The swelling, the bumps......FiFi would love me. Ok, I didn't but then again I did have to use the facilities a time or two while I was wandering around so the worst may not be over yet. I'm sure if it breaks out in any unmentionable places and I tell you it'll remain our little secret. You're not the type that would ever tease me at length in large groups are you?
