  7. Is he as ornery as you? Look for a cache with your name in it soon..... What next, a new hide in my mailbox? Guess I better load up my hiking boots and take 'em on down to the Salvation Army store. Wait a minute, my pillow will know what to do about this ugly turn of events. Imagine me as the urban cowboy. Yikes, Harmon SD Rowdies Time passes ... two hours later. Hey Jodi, Couldn't wait so I went into my bedroom and had a short nap. Two things I learned - A. I've reached a crossover point ... my pillow is now smarter than my head. B. Pillow said ... don't sweat the details Harmon, just get up and go back to your computer, start Google Earth Street View,"find" the hide, and then log your find. Duh! Here it is Jodi dear ... Couldn't wait to let you know ... I'll log my find in th' morning. Leave it to you to CHEAT. I'm gonna check that log and you're name better be on it. Hey ... that's kind of cool ... but ya can't really SEE the cache ... it's camo'ed pretty good! You are too funny Harmon! Yes ma'am Jodi dear, Knowing you it's probably buried in that wall of ivy or tied to a monofilament line that runs all the way back to Thousand Trails. To be honest I was hoping for a Street-View update that caught a shot of you bending over to place that S.U.C. *1 cache ... know what I'm sayin'? I can see how my day will go today, rootin' through ivy and installiing a new toilet seat. ... don't ask and stop laughing at my misfortunes. Sweet ol' Harmon you just accidently gave me 2 ideas in one post.....oh boy oh boy oh boy..... Here, I took care of one of the ideas for you. Harmon joins secret society started by Janie and Jodi. So tell me more about the secret society ... is there a secret handshake or anything like that I should know about? Your ol' pal, Harmon Thanks for the picture Harmon, I stopped on the way home from work and made the grab without my GPSr. Yes Jodi his name is in the log.
  8. Congrats to the proud parents!! He only found 1 of 4 on his list. Sounds like his parents need to sit him down and have a talk .
  9. It wasn't a food fight, ol' buddy! No, it was good friends eating some cinnamon rolls, mulchin', and cachin' ... loads of fun, actually. Yeah, about 8 loads to be more precise. Anyway, have you seen the pics on that cache page yet, ol' buddy? There were a couple of folks snappin' quite a few pictures, I tell ya. Mhmm, you might be interested in checkin' 'em out. Mulchin' in Chula Vista #7 Barrie aka: boysnbarrie Barrie dear ... Mhmm, mhmm ... I do believe that we've had a meeting of minds. It has been 3 day's since Harmon did this post I hope he's ok. Thanks for asking pal, it's been more than three days since anybody tuned in to this thread. Guess they are all too busy farming on Facebook. Had to spend some time twartinig a phishing attack aimed at my sweet brides Facebook account. Here's my conclusion ... Facebook = Personal Risk. Being out on the trail is part of it too ... 6.6 miles for eleven finds today. To old for such nonsense. Besides I've been doing research on a new issue for skinny Geocachers, you know, like Baldy & Goldilocks. Kind of a public service piece for Geocachers that try to live on grass clippings and cabbage. Yeah, I know ... I'm obsessed with our Forum threads. OMG...Harmon you so over-did it this time!!!. You are so MINE now! While little 'ol me was away... stuck at a hotel room that charged 69 cents a minute for internet look what my old rotten pal Harmon has done to me????? If it wasn't for my friends the K!'s and BnB I might not have seen this for at least another day. I am almost speechless....no....that's not true...I am PLANNING. Did I hear you say vindictive and Jodi in the same sentence? I hope you've been resting while seated next to that fancy photoshop computer because my wheelbarrow is still full and I hear there's a new trail with hills crying my name...I'm thinking a Butt Burning series is in order....we'll see whose butt is big after you complete this one!!!!!!! Now back to the picture: That camera angle was just way off.....let's not concentrate on the size of the butt, but the awesome mulch moving technique I have...how about that???? And those lovely ladies would NEVER be laughing at me.... WHY I OUGHTA..............and I will! O, hi there Jodi dear, Good to see you back in town. As to the photo, it sure didn't come out of my camera and, besides, Barrie made me do it. Not sure about all of the ladies not laughing at you ... I note that DTCMMBLB is amongst them and she's got a big smile on her face in that photo. No question about your mulching power and prowess, when it comes to mulching you have no equal I'm told and the photo leaves no doubt. Thang is about a butt-burner series ... I ain't got no butt. Have you forgotten that I'm an old man? Old men are buttless. Photoshop? Whatever do you mean by that Jodi dear? You ol' pal, Harmon Note to Self: Double up on your med's Harmon... y'all gonna need 'em. Harmon when are you ever going to learn, do not mess with the ladies??? especially Jahoadi

  11. Had a great time today driving the back country trails. At least 40 Jeeps and about 30 ATV's (Rhino type) plus bikes and quads.
  12. Run for it! You are surrounded by the craziest Geocachers on the planet. Start out easy in Colorado or Arizona and work up to San Diego County at a slow pace. Don't say you weren't warned. On the other hand if you are determined to experience a trial by fire then go to the link below and then find and watch the "View Slideshow" option. http://sdgeocachers.org/gallery2/v/SD+Rowdies/ Note to Self: Danged nube ... no profile photos of him yet. Welcome to the Geocaching world.
  13. My hero ... attaboy Tom. Just think of what would of happened if he had that Commie Pinko Reviewer with him. He'd never of seen the light of day.
  14. This could only happen to Flagman. His log for Geowoodstock VIII Well, the journey to attend this awesome event started out with some considerable excitement for me... I arrived at the airport in San Diego and pushed my jam-packed green duffle bag through the x-ray machine at the security checkpoint without a seconds thought. At the other end, the kind TSA officer politely asked me if he could look inside. "Of course," I answered. So he proceeds to pull things out one but one, and eventually gets to my small backpack loaded with my swag bag -- nothing to worry about here, right?!? WRONG!!! He was actually looking for a small pocket knife that I had only half forgotten was in there. Yeah, I could afford to lose it -- no biggie, right? Well, what I had TOTALLY forgotten about was the two live rounds of rifle ammunition that I had removed from a cache a couple months ago!! OMG, the expression on my face when he found those two bullets was a mixture of astonishment and pure panic!!! A life in some terrorist prison flashed through my head. I quickly went into massive apology mode, and began to explain Geocaching and how I had found these rounds in a cache and removed them for safety reasons. Of course there was plenty of evidence to convict me of being a cacher -- my swag bag was loaded with ziplock baggies full of bison tubes, altoids tins covered with cammo duct tape, and all sorts of other tricks and tokens. Unfortunately, these same items didn't really help much to divert suspicion of my terrorist activities. I started imaging how the TSA officer must have been putting two and two together. The bison tubes were probably filled with compressed gas to be used in some fashion to build a makeshift rifle on the airplane. The mirrors, zip ties, and all other TOTTs could be fashioned into any number of weapons, right?!? It was just going to be impossible to explain. Well, somehow I did explain. And explain, and explain and explain. By the time it was all done, I had explained at least four times to four different LEOs. I think the packet of official looking Geocaching business cards explaining the sport helped alot. Anyhoo, they finally asked me to abandon the ammunition and let me off without any sort of citation. And off I went into the wild blue yonder with a great story to tell and a little more adrenaline than I probably needed for this routine flight to Seattle. Thanks to all who organized this event!!! We had a blast over the course of the last three days throughout the city and at the event, itself. Can't wait for Philly!!!
