  1. Isn't that how he got hopelessly wedged into the window opening? That and having an 'over the wall' beer guy? Anyway it's not like it's mixing Judy Garland and Shirley Temple.. oh my! How do you like my version... Can't complain without offering a fix, I always say.. I need some more practice... let's just say I know a little about working with images and video... but I'm far from gifted if you know what I mean... this was also quick and dirty work... Nice to see you again... get a chuckle out of watching your graphic attempts to get lynched by friends... I don't have any so I don't care much... The guys that play over in the Where in Canada quiz (Canada forum) seem to think I'm a whiz at that... I don't mind much, but I've only not found 4 or five out of hundreds... often first (more than I claim for sure, but the hider knows) mostly using only the pic and Google Earth... fun game... I just put up an offering this morning... got to go get lunch... first in days. Doug 7rxc 73 Aha! another Forum Photoshop guy, how good is that? Do stop by now and then, I need all the help I can get to shield me from the slings and arrows of my fabulous Geocaching pals. Hey John, how's this for a pit crew? Imagine a pit crew like this with a combined Geocaching find-count of about 150,000 smileys! One thing for sure, that bunch of ol' gals always make me smile. Note to Self: Hmm, does that car make his butt look big? "that bunch of ol' gals" (careful there Harmon)
  2. If your dog is well behaved and comes when it is called, you should have no problems. If the dog is strong-willed use a leash. Bring plenty of water as dehydration will be a bigger problem than snakes or other critters. Keep your camera handy, as you never know when something will appear and wait for just a short time for you to get the picture. Even snakes don't wait very long for you to get their picture. Oh, getting a picture of a snake makes it a lot easier to identify what type of snake it really is. There are an awful lot of NON-poisonous snakes out there. Forget the bat since there is no need to kill the snake and you really shouldn't use it on the dog. I've been hiking the desert for over 30 years and either wear sandals or tennis shoes. I have never felt the need for "shin guards" to protect against snake-bite! Watch where you put your feet and you should have no problems. If you do not leash the dog, just keep an eye open for any indication that it has caught whiff of something intriguing to her. The dog will do a quick stop and look like it has gone on point like a retriever. This is the time to control the dog, like using the Stay command to give you time to get to the dog and investigate what got its attention. If the dog does go on point, look at the hair on its back and neck for a clue as to what is going on. In over 30 years of hiking the desert, including the times when I was looking for rattlesnakes, I have seen less than 30 rattlesnakes. I have seen over a hundred non poisonous snakes in that same time period. I had the camera handy for 1 and got a great picture of that snake having dinner! Keep your eyes open and have fun, you might even spot a desert tortoise. John If you hear rattling run
  3. ... and I'm going to plant a dozen puzzle caches this weekend.
  4. He was a super nice guy full of energy. Rest in peace, Carl. We had met Carl when we first started geocaching...He respectfully beat us to one of our first FTF attempts...There he was bent over looking in the bushes...Up he stood and his smile captivated us....We didn't participate in the MTRP war games but watched in awe as he and others out did one another....The cache hidden in the storm drain under Navajo had his name on it....We will miss him for a short time...So glad that his finish line was victorious! Sorry to hear that Carl has left us. We hope that he enjoys his newest adventure in heaven. He was an incredible man and we thank him for all his contributions to our community. Rest in peace Carl. We will miss you! Yes indeed , he always had a smile on his face and ready to help if you needed it. RIP

  14. I can't stop laughing! Great Job! Too cute!!!
  15. And you were doing so good, and even I was behaving, alas, Poor Ol Harmon. 'Tis the Christmas Season ... when fair ladies save their thoughts for family matters and so I may be favored with an oversight. Note also that I avoided enflaming the ire of the wicked witch of the old iron bridge. With luck I'll make it through the next fifteen days to see the dawn of the second decade of the twenty-first century. Besides, everybody is too busy clickin' the Like button over on FaceBook. This Forum thread is headed for a Historical Landmark status like old Route 66. Might as well start designing commemorative postcards and window decals. The end is here. Hmm, January 1, 2011 ... might be a good time to turn out th' lights. Fanger's crossed, Poor ol' Harmon Wicked Witch of the Old Iron Bridge????? Oh My Gosh...I cannot believe you said that! I'll get you my pretty.......! 'exept you ain't pretty..... Uh-oh ... WWOTOIB! Hey Skillet, I can't tell, have I done it again? You are more then knee deep in it now.
  16. WoooooooHooooooooo!!! Was that 2500 or so since you retired?!? Most excellent. You'll be at 4000 in no time. Way to go! WoooHooo, lionhouse75!!! So wish we could have been there with you to help celebrate!
  17. Thanks Miss Jenn. I think most of the So Cal folks have indeed archived and moved them.....and we are very careful not to place anymore within their boundaries. We know at this time we are not welcome! OOPS I found one last weekend that is still in the ABDSP. It was a long drive back in there and they must have been to lazy to go get it. They must of had it on their watch list.
  18. Anj dear, You need to tighten up a few notches on Doug. Any guy that hangs around crazed women such as The Fat Cats while clutching a first-aid kit is bound t' be headed for trouble. To me that's a giant leap beyond an ambulance chaser. On the flip side of this issue I've discovered an advantage that comes with my poor ol' flayed fanger; for the first time in my life I can count to eleven without taking a shoe and sock off. (Please don't tell Sue that I admitted this.) Ain't life weird? Poor ol' Harmon Th' Slashee
  19. WooooHoooooooooo!!!!! Oh my gosh...that's a lot of smileys!!! Congratulations, you two! Some of my favorite runs have been with you two! Congrats on 17K smileys! Wow so many milestones for so many Congrats all of you. You all get a big smiley for that.
  20. WHEW! for a minute there I thought you thought I was this one of a kind. No, No, No! The only thing I recognize is the t-shirt and tags...why I otta. oh, and love the Sleepless in Seattle t-shirt, I'm wearing mine tomorrow. Good t' hear that s-o-m-e-b-o-d-y liked the Sleepless tee. After workin' my poor ol' fangers to th' bones on that design what do I have t' show for it? A sliced fanger and the sad fact that I haven't seen a single gal wearin' that tee; pictures sure, but not in th' flesh. Note to Self: Truth is I was delighted by being asked to do that design. Puh-lease, every gal that wears a Sleepless in Seattle t-shirt this week please post your t-photo on this thread. Thank y' very much, Harmon I wore mine at the campout..just look at the pics in facebook Harmon!..Oh wait..you dumped that other site didn't you? Selling and wearing.
