I carried mine in my hand before.Then i dropped it put scratch in the screen.Now i use a lanyard and my hand.

I placed one once .With nobody finding it. I went back and had to search for it myself.

I think your pretty much stuck with it.

When i bought my 60cs it wasn't two months later the 60csx came out.I might wait to see if they come out with a new one before i upgrade.

Anyplace you can hide something is a good place.In a tree,under rocks,under logs,in a post,stuck to a guardrail,under a bridge,under a bench,behind a sign.People hide them just about eveywhere.

The gps will get close. Then you just start looking for a good hidding place.Just last week my gps put me in the middle of the cemetery.Looked around didn't find it.Got pda out read about it again and the past logs. Went back gps put in the same place then i lost sats.So i just started looking around the outside of the cemetery then i found it.

Log them as dnf then when you do find them log as found.There is no shame in leaving a dnf in the posting.

This reminds me of a guy that lives close to my parents house. There's a big long pond across from there house. The owner will let you fish there. But this one guy who owns about the last 20 yrds of it. Would always call the sherriff on you. Well my dad told me the other day the guy got a letter in the mail from the sherriff's office. That said if you call again YOU will get arrested. It must have worked my dad hasn't heard them being called out.

I have a 76CSx... how do I have it route me to the cache via roads? I've been just guessing all this time, or printing hard copy maps to get me "close"..... Thanks! Rich I dont' know about the 76.But on the 60.When you go to the cache page and press goto on the cache you want.It'll ask if you want to follow road or off road.

I thinking about updating here shortly myself.Have a 60cs looking at 60csx might look at 76csx also.

If i cant find it i place a dnf.As far as taking any swag.Very seldom do i take anything or leave anything.Mostly because i forgot my bag of stuff in the truck.

Where is a good place to get a new gps.Buyeretail has a garmin 60csx for $307 anybody deal with them before.
