I want to place a cache and i was a little confused about it, the cache i want to place would be my first one, the container is a chem tube with a penny on top, if you were to stick it in the ground would that be considered burring the cache? I have seen some Geocaching videos where they find caches like these stuck in the ground. just wanted to check if that ok

Generally speaking.....NO. Since it belongs to someone else, why would you think that you can keep it? I've got to ask at this point...how old are you? Do your parents go caching with you? B. this is what i thought im not telling you my age i don't know you. and because iv been told people have done this.... -

My PN-60 won't be able to show me the cache description if I tell it to go to a new waypoint, so instead I just edit the cache description itself to point to the next stage of the multi. That would definitely be the preferred way to do it, but some models don't let you do this, such as the Garmin Oregons. On those, you'll have to make a waypoint. i have a Magellan 510 dose it do that??? I don't own that device, so I don't know. I just scanned through the manual, but I can't be sure whether you can edit the coordinates for a cache or not. Someone else may be able to give you a definitive answer. thanks

hi how do you do that??

It depends on the type of multi. Some have a container with coords for the next stage. Some have a puzzle you have to solve or information you have to gather to figure out the coords for the next stage. You may be able to figure out which type you are looking at on the cache page. It depends on your GPSr! On mine, I push a button that says 'MARK'. It allows me to enter coords. I would read your instruction manual, or just fool around with it until you figure it out. thanks what gps do you have???

Yes, traditionally, all who sign it may log the find. If it's a challenging hide that's fun to find, your family member may then step back and allow you the chance to find it on your own. But that's totally up to them and you. thanks

how do you do a multi cache and how would you enter the cords into you gps????

if i go on a geocache with a family member and they find it but i sing the long dose that still like count as me finding it and loging it onling???
