Scouters Fred and Brenda replied to AngelFacedGal's topic in Trackables
I have a similar situation only my TB is suppose to be in the hands of another cacher I have sent several Emails with out reply and checked their profile. They have been on the GC site as recent as today but they only have 58 finds so I am trying to be patient too. I might just mark it unknown and just wait it out -

Garmin Colorado 12v Car power
Scouters Fred and Brenda replied to sparkysteve's topic in GPS technology and devices
We've got the auto mount from Garmin it works great. We have not tried the on board picture viewer but we have used our Colorado as an SD card reader while we were hooked up to our laptop. I should try the on board viewer to see if my camera pictures will work -
Waypoint averaging Colorado 400t
Scouters Fred and Brenda replied to pasayten_pete's topic in GPS technology and devices
Waypoints can only be deleted on the unit. You can not delete them in mass storage mode. I under stand that but if the averaging waypoints are hidden and can not seen will they not accumulate. Do you think when you use the delete all waypoints that the averaging waypoint will also be deleted -
Stay out of the stinging nettles

I have to agree with the above. A DNF lets the CO know either there maybe a problem or that their hide is very good

Waypoint averaging Colorado 400t
Scouters Fred and Brenda replied to pasayten_pete's topic in GPS technology and devices
If it is hidden how does one clean that area out. The Colorado is not like older units where the reset feature just cleans out old data. It took me a bit to get use to, and feel comfortable deleting thinks from the Garmin drive -

If you want waypoints get send the waypoint to you Colorado from Mapsource. I did this when I first got my Colorado as this is how I use to do it with my Etrex -
Anybody have polygons for Canadian counties?
Scouters Fred and Brenda replied to ky.m.guy's topic in Canada
It works really well. In fact I did not realize I had not cached around Peterbourgh until I run the macro and saw this big white spot -
Just a quick note. If you want maps from different sources (say Ibycus's free topo maps in Canada, and one of streets from garmin. You have to send them from Mapsource at the same time, or one overwrites the other. I have loaded my street maps on to an SD card so when I load my Topo's for the day on to my CO 300 it won't wipe out or over write my street maps

To get a pocket query of your finds you need to be a Premium member however you can manualy enter the statistics in to GSAK (alot of work) and not all of the info will be generated but it will be a start
