Dear Rob, There are free maps for the garmin units at http://mapcenter.cgpsmapper.com Also Garmin is started making the City Select Thailand and it is on sell now. Please check for a dealer if you wish to buy. As for the caches. There is not that much activity in the area but there are some new caches popping up in pattaya and there is someone busy starting things up here.

I am back! After many troubles came my way long ago I am back to Geocaching. I still have a travelbug in my possesion that I have to release again soon.

Well it is still not an active geocaching country here.. But I placed a few caches around Thailand.. I never had the time to travel to Phuket and find out about the geocaches there. Since a day or 5 everytime I log into the forums I see on the right where the Last posts are shown.. that the GEOCACHING.COM DISCUSSION does not show the last posters name and subject. The date does change to the recent post but does not show the subject and poster name.. I know that it does the same when a post gets deleted.. but now it is not showing the last post anymore.. I will for ever be a newbie.. With just a few caches in the whole country.. I have to wait for caches to be placed.. I'm sure the NiMH are the best to use.. I have the 1800 mAH.. Works very good on my Garmin.. They last very long.. NiMH is simply the best for GPS units.. Irresisti N12º 55.475 E100º 52.865

As far as I know.. if you also want to delete your "The Alphawolf" signature.. that can be done normally.. But it seems to me that with images you have to enter a plain text first to get the image away Irresisti N12º 55.475 E100º 52.865

Maybe that is the case.. I will check that out.. inside my room the accuracy is 23 meters.. still no cicle.. Irresisti N12º 55.475 E100º 52.865

I the manual of my eTrex Vista there seem to be a circle around the current position indicating the accuracy.. (on map page) I never have seen that shown up? I tryed everything but never saw it, zoomed out and in but don't have the accuracy circle.. Latest Firmware installed Irresisti N12º 55.475 E100º 52.865

There was already a thread about this some time ago.. I can't find it right now.. I would like to see some personal items in caches.. It's up to you to add a personal item in the cache or to take a personal item out of a cache.. some may collect the some may not.. Irresisti N12º 55.475 E100º 52.865

The description of the area you give looks to me as very difficult to place a cache.. Take your time.. there are sure some good places around.. I don't have any clue for you.. since I don't know a area that is like the one you describe Irresisti N12º 55.475 E100º 52.865
