  1. Global Geoparks Network" Group Details Global Geoparks Network Forum Post I would consider adding these to the UNESCO Biosphere Reserves with a category name change to include UNESCO Global Geoparks and of course a rewrite of the category.
  2. Try searching History Museums with sports as a search criteria. There are several already posted.
  3. You have to post a draft of your proposal before we can offer suggestions/critiques.
  4. I do not recall any discussions about "-category for benchmarks in the other countries" Perhaps something similar to: Dated Architectural Structures Multifarious and Religious Buildings Multifarious
  5. From category description: "As 3D construction grows, it has the potential to disrupt the traditional construction process. With many structures printed in a matter of days, 3D printing shelters, for example, can be beneficial for victims of natural disasters." This statement sounds great on paper, however 3D printers create walls, not complete homes or other buildings. If you factor installing windows, doors, roofs, electrical wiring, plumbing, insulation, interior walls and finishes, and millwork to name a few. A livable structure could take months for them to be habitable.
  6. Abstained votes basically do not count towards an approval or a deny vote. 20 approve with 12 deny still is not 50%. Even if there were 25 abstained votes it still would not change the outcome.
  7. Without seeing the hidden votes, 20 votes approved and 12 deny, just these numbers alone did not meet the 50% threshold.
  8. Looking through a few pictures, taken about a year ago, I came across a grand opening plaque. I planned to post it in the "Grand Opening" category. Looking at nearest waymarks, I realized I had not posted it in an "Arena" category. Only to realize there is not a category for non-professional sports venues. Is there a category that will accept these?
  9. I agree this is problematic. If my "vote" waymark is not resolved after 4 days, I have contacted the leader to visit the "group page" to release the vote. This usually works, however, if not, and if I am a member I will look at the past history and contact the most active officer. There were times I joined a group, just to look at the past history. If this fails, it is just a waiting game. Not sure if wayfrog can release a vote, unless he is an officer.
  10. wayfrog, thanks. "in our style" How do I do this? As I recall, there were talented creators of these icons, usually offering a few options. Household Appliances and Presses (HAP)
  11. Hi, not too sure we are on the same "page". I can change a logo (icon) from the "Group Detail "page", if I am the group leader or have permission to edit the category. As far as I am aware, a new "grid" icon is created and an admin is the only one who can insert it into the "grid" Here is an example of some grid icons: The Grid
  12. If I recall correctly, there was a thread where new category grid icons were created, I was unable to find it. Funny thing happened today, in one of the categories I created, I declined a waymark. I received a kind note from the submitter that the submission I declined was the same model as the image used for the category grid icon. The category was approved about 5 years ago, and I NEVER noticed. I was not only surprised, I was rather amused that the submitter was so observant. Can an existing grid icon be changed?
  13. I sure can relate to your comments. I remember, as a new member, I was so excited to release my first trackable. Nice geocoins, soon realized they were missing. Okay, I switched to geotags, less expensive and I thought would travel, wrong, most went MIA. Not long, I came to the same conclusion, I do not send out trackables any more. Total Inventory - 29 Active -1 Inactive - 8 (registered never released) MIA - 11 Returned Home - 9 In 2013, I began requesting my trackable be returned via the mail service. I currently have 9 that were "Returned Home". One of the most unusual, was a trackable that was missing for several years suddenly had a new log. Apparently, a geocacher bought a large assortment of trackables at a flea market. My only current active trackable is at HQ and I am not optimistic...
  14. My trackable was left at the Geocaching 20th Anniversary Celebration . What happens to them after the event if they are not picked up? There are currently 1,068 still listed in inventory on the event page. This trackable is the only one that has not gone MIA, and been traveling almost 11 years. Several years ago, another trackable was also left at HQ and never heard from again.
  15. Thanks to all of you. I think we have a winner. With a few more pictures and a description, perhaps this can be re-submitted to Old Agricultural Equipment. What do you think, Keith?
  16. Yes it is, copied it in the nick of time, as you deleted the submission. Next time you visit the area take a few more pictures, especially the inside and both sides of the unit. "A picture is worth a thousand words."
  17. Verlengde Arnhemseweg (N224) - Ede, the Netherlands Interesting.
  18. Did not follow up on the quoted text. My concern is what is next, a new category for somehow non-religious?
  19. One possibility Wagon Roads and Trails Though it is currently limited to the US and Canada the category does accept The Mormon Trail ~ Centerville, IA Have you contacted the leader cosninocanines or one of the officers iconions, NW_history_buff or YoSam. to ask about the possibility to open the category to be worldwide? Since the category already accepts the "Mormon Trail" this seems to be a good fit with just expanding it to be worldwide, rather than creating a new category. .

  21. I am impressed. Even the front window has the same bottom curve. Thanks, PISA-caching I did look at several images I found online, and this is a very good match. Thought?
  22. I appreciate the information, however please note the door handles in the photos. The car featured has different placement of the handles. The body design is a good match. Thank you. I did find a 1927 Cadillac with the same placement of the door handles and the body design is similar, though not totally convinced.
  23. The idea for this post is for waymarkers to post items that they need help identifying. Remember, "A picture is worth a thousand words." On my way home, I spotted this old car on display. I stopped and circled back to have a better look. Now the question is, What is it? This old car is on display in British Columbia, Canada, though it could be American made.
