  1. OUT-FREAKING-STANDING 3D!!!!! That's one handsome bunch of coins Congratulations!
  2. I just had to comment on this coin after getting to grab some at GCF. I know the size is posted, but it just doesn't do justice for just how big, solid feeling and beautiful these are in hand! Particularly liked the violet on antique silver. Nice job
  3. Thanks! I just got mine, too Admittedly, I did have a mint sample, but I just got the chance to hold all three finishes and their proxies in hand for the first time. After more than a few minutes of consideration I finally put the shiny gold up on the wall rack (the only place Moun10girl lets me display my work downstairs anymore) which has limited space so I had to retire another coin from it's space but onward and upward and this one definitely was a step forward for me I hope. Looking forward to activating one now, too! btw, I apologize if the icon wasn't showing up on newly activated ones... I just sent the icons to Groundspeak this morning. In all the excitement I completed them weeks ago, but complete forgot to submit them! sorry
  4. As far as I know they'll send them pretty much anywhere. They had a bunch going out all over yesterday and she mentioned Germany, Austria and Australia as destinations
  5. I believe all three finishes are still available although going fast since many were spoken for at the event. They can be still be found on the GxProxy site for now until they're sold out. They were not made in great number though. I have only see the antique gold in hand, but from the photos it appears the translucents on the shiny gold make that version the most colorful and the antique copper the most old/weathered looking of the bunch. Hard to say which is my favorite, but I think I'm favoring the copper right now
  6. A few managed a sneak peek at GCF in Colorado of this new design, but I wanted to share it here and say thanks to those who pre-ordered on the spot after checking out the samples! For over 3 millenia people around the world have been knocking on wood to ward off bad luck, but almost nobody recalls why! While working on an upcoming coin design I ran across an odd bit of info that sent me off in a new direction with curiosity and excitement. Sure, enough there's a great story there and it's very important to geocachers, too! This new coin celebrates the legend of the Waldgeist (pronounced "vawld-guy-st") known by many names and revered as the Lord of the Forest, Greenman, Wildman, Savage Man, Woodwose, Green Jack, Jack-in-the-Green, Green George, Pan, Wakatcuna, Wakaitcu, Kodama and Canotila depending on the people and continent. All around the world this woodland spirit is the protector of nature and the punisher of those who abuse it. The specs: SPECS & FEATURES: 1.75" Diameter x 7mm Thickness (designed for 7, but calipers are showing almost 9mm actually) 3 Molds Used for the most extreme 3D 16 Soft Enamels (3 Translucents) Two-tone Metal Antique Finish Trackable at Geocaching.com Custom Icon 3 Finishes Available: 1) Antique Silver on Antique Gold 2) Antique Silver on Shiny Gold 3) Antique Silver on Antique Copper GxProxy was kind enough to produce this design and has even matched up a Proxy coin for each one and paid to even print a full color brochure with the original mint art and full story behind all the elements, secret meanings and intricacies of the design. Thanks to all the kind responses and for those who placed preorders at GCF, they're shipping out this morning and the two new finishes look awesome! I'll post some more pics shortly
  7. for photobucket... 1) click the "UPLOAD" or "UPLOAD MORE" button 2) click the "BROWSE FILES" button (the drag and drop is a little iffy) to open your folder with all your photos in it. 3) select all your photos (make sure you've built a folder with ONLY the ones you want to load first) 4) click the "OPEN" button - this returns you to the page and shows your pics as little mountain icons 5) click the "UPLOAD" button - you'll see you pics show up below the little running advert after a few seconds/minutes 6) click "VIEW LIBRARY" button 7) click on any photo you want to display 8) your picture will show up fullscreen and a little box will show on the bottom right that says "IMAGE LINKS" 9) click anywhere on the little url code displayed to the right of the "IMG CODE" text to instantly copy the link info 10) go to your forum post (preferably in a different web browser window) and paste it by holding down the Control key on your keyboard and hitting the letter "V". The little link will show and once you complete your post the photo will appear Sounds like a lot of steps, but it's actually VERY easy once you've done it just once. After that you just scroll through your images copying and pasting the image link info to your posts and voila!
  8. Pictures are awesome, but don't give just to just how BIG these are in hand! Awesome job on these!!!
  9. Despite traveling past so many times, I've never been so this could be a whole lot of crazy fun!
  10. Will you be showing your samples & artwork? CF30 Actually, yes. I'm printing out various stages of the project today (from sketches to comps to blueprints) to bring along and show against the first horrible results and then the subsequent great results that are in production. I'm supposed to be hosting a seminar and I'll talk about the project from concept to completion and all new stuff I learned along the way. It's going to be a lot of fun to talk shop with other enthusiasts!

  12. DeLorme has a coin, geico, Jeep and I know of a Chamber of Commerce out west as well as Gander Mountain in PA so yes, there are a few. As long as your coin design meets GC review policy you could probably do something very cool with your company's backing I think
  13. I'm sure I'll see Vanelle, there, but you could probably just pm/email her and ask her to reserve them for you, too.
  14. Well, I'm totally intrigued with the possibilities, so please keep us posted! I'd love to see your past work if you have photos just to examine the what-ifs I don't have a safe place or the know-how to do something like this, but I'm all about new coins and cool ideas!
  15. Samples of a new project I've been working on and by the end of the flight probably a few dozen more sketches Traders of course
  16. Do you have any pictures of past work with coins? I've been trying for years to find a legitimate way to create a metal coin design where every coin is unique to a higher degree than a straight forward minting. I've thought of tumbling them with stones, beating them individual with a ball peen, etc., but I think hand made might be the way to really do it right.
  17. VERY nicely done! But then, you always do great work
  18. Thank you so much! I don't know exactly when V2 will be ready, but hopefully in the spring. I've compiled quite a bit of info and begun writing, shooting and editing, but I've suddenly become VERY busy with my business and a number of geo-design projects at the same time.
  19. Very cool! I didn't know they could do spot-black nickel application, but very nice work!
  20. I just wanted to be the first to say the above is AWESOME and should be pinned!! Well done sir, well done BTW, do you mind if I borrow this image for our local forums? It really shows the steps very cleanly and efficiently!
