Actually, that is a great story, I read that before. Another thng I was wondering about...can GPS units track transmitters? There was a lot of theft around here lately and I was REALLY tempted to buy a transmitter and attach it to some items to see if it could be tracked

I didn't see this thread earlier but I think some kind of Canadian site would be nice I have to get around to finally finishing my own personal Geocache site

Using NiMH rechargeable batteries
halldorr replied to CountryLover's topic in GPS technology and devices
I too have a Vista and have been using NiMH batteries. When looking at the indicator it looks like it's going to run out soon so I carry an extra set of regular batteries as well. However, they haven't run out yet and have spent several hours with it on... -

I read what was usually being exchanged and assumed that was fairly typical. I think it would be nice to have some kind of signature item as well. DVD/CD cache? Hmm, those would be very interesting to go to! Need to get one of those in Ontario

I am attempting to put my newly hidden cache on site here but on the form it asks for Latitude (N/S HDDD MM.MM)* and Longitude (W/E HDDD MM.MM)* but it only provides two boxes. How do I fill out these coords? N43 36 702 W080 08 396

The way Geospotter had it setup was pretty nice. Was a lot like a PowerPoint presentation, with change effects and some sound

Hehe I noticed the same (using the same unit you guys are). We went out both Saturday night and today - as well as placing our first cache Can't wait to put it into the system tonight! But I did notice the same, especially in tree cover

I think $30 is great. I don't know if it's because I know what it takes to maintain a site like this or not or the fact that I know that it's sometimes difficult to get "subscribers". $3 a month is a very fair price in my opinion. The work that has gone into this site to make everything flow nicely has been deep Also, it's worth it for a year of fun
