  1. Looking through the threads May last year saw some comments on the ability to delete published cartridges but I cant find if this is available enabling you to get rid of old cartridges that have past their sell by date. Any news on this yet?
  2. I agree, the Wherigo builder has been a great example of this.
  3. I wouldn't bother too much, some get will probably nick it soon anyway.
  4. Glad to say mine seem to have gone, don't see the point of them at all, unless you want a good dose of emblemism.
  5. What a great looking coin. Are you taking orders now or waiting until they arrive?
  6. Completed the *Mouse* chirp cache today, good fun, something different and just another evolution of and addition to the game IMH.
  7. I have taken some really rubbish photos using my Oregon but, fortunately, have also been lucky to snap a couple of nice ones. Just wondering if there are any other nice ones out there. Only rule is they should be taken by your GPS.
  8. Have you fixed this yet? I had exactly the same issue trying to move from a previous Beta version to 3.8, it continually hung on 11% whilst verifying the data. I did find a way of removing the update file from the 550 and then upgraded to 3.74Beta, from there it worked okay.
  9. Hello all, I am trying to help a fellow local cacher and need to help to help him! To cut a long story short it looks like he bought a Rowan Gypsy Geocoin at a mega event and it seems the coin was in the wrong plastic sleeve so he has activated a coin but not the one he bought. he placed it in a cache, I grabbed it and it is unactivated. If you can help with where to get an activation code from (Sheik Google has failed) could you email me or him (the coin is in my inventory). Many thanks in advance.
  10. If there a way of completely removing old long missing TBs from your 'Trackable Items (Yours)' list? I would like to remove all my lost ones so th elist just portrays the active ones.
  11. Since downloading this alternative builder and, not getting on with it, uninstalling it, the Wherigo builder will not work. On compiling a LUA file it seems fine then when trying to re-open it I get the following error message I also get the same with previously made cartridges. can anyone help please. I am trying to run this on windows 7 64bit. Many thanks
  12. Thanks Andy, you are correct, I have changed the page to reflect it (and changed my local custom map in this manner, works great)
  13. Thanks to some help in other threads I have managed to find and use some free software to produce some excellent custom 1:25000 maps that have the benefit of not needing the fiddle calibration in Google earth not the tile calculations to make sure things line up. The following short guide may be of help to others garmin custom map guide It isn't overly detailed but if I can do it then anyone can. If you can see a way of improving the process post it in the thread and I will add it to the guide if it is helpful.
  14. Following some help elsewhere I have put a short document together about how I have managed to produce some excellent 1:25000 scale custom maps for the UK, hope it helps someone. garmin custom map guide
  15. Got mine ordered, just can't get to the event so next best thing....
  16. Some time back I found an application put together by some clever soul that uses Bing maps in a GUI to produce the correct size tiles for custom maps: It looks like this:- I downloaded it but now can't find the thread or forum I got it from if anyone can help? The reason I am looking for it is I wonder if anyone who is using it has worked out the correct sums for adding/subtracting from lat and longs to produce a series of joined tiles to cover an area without overlaps or gaps between. many thanks
  17. I would support a change along the lines suggested, as long as the end result is those caches that need removing, for whatever justifiable reason, are promptly despatched.
  18. It was a great idea, thank you for creating it and organising it. Nice to have decent size cache containers too . I think it should be done again. How about a HUGE container with 500 peach jars inside it so people can take one.... I'm sure I've come across a similar idea recently..... Chris (MrB) I'm feeling slightly nauseous at the thought of eating all those peaches! Okay for you, my local Tesco ran out of peaches, I have to have kgs of prunes!
  19. Can someone help with the TP numbers for the following YOSM trigs, they have duplicate names and I am not sure which ones are the YOSMs: Courtstone YOSM 135 Fir Hill YOSM 114 Garn Fawr YOSM 182 Grange Hil YOSM 091 Holyhead YOSM 199 Kings Seat YOSM 256
  20. It seems the YOSM website is down and I am trying to obtain a list of previous trigs used as this cache. has anyone got a copy or know where one can be downloaded, up to #359 if possible. Thanks
  21. NO, I shall NOT ask what this container was from or is for.
  22. Yes Chris, it was your page that prompted me to post. In your screenshot you can see bird 39,one of the WAAS one, whereas in mine they do not feature.
