  1. Brilliant story, collected a white jeep in W-S-M today to be released Bristol soon. Hope you collect airmiles with shell!
  2. Not sure if I can post a wanted item but if anyone has a copy of garmin mapsource metroguide thay would like to sell please mail me. I have somehow deleted the basemap from my vista (despite being told by Garmin this is impossible!). I was waiting for the new UK TOPO to be released but need something now as I am foillowing a blank orange screen round now! regards.
  3. yep works with black and white as well as colour models.
  4. Not sure if this has been posted before but found this by luck yesterday. It allows you to load transparent contours onto any map within a Garmin GPS. It works on mine. http://www.smc.org.uk/books/books_contour_maps.htm
  5. Is there a way of doing a pocket query for specific geocoins? I am trying to find the nearest stasj with a GB coin but havent found a way of doing so. regards.
  6. BDH containers from Kayaks and Paddles Ltd, screw top and completely waterproof.
  7. I come to this sport as a converted dartmoor Letterboxer of old so I am surprised how few personal stamps are used to log in at caches. It was all the rage to cut your own stamp from a rubber to use when visiting the boxes. The Captain Goretex is one in question, made by photocopying a design then ironing it onto a rubber then cutting the design using a lino cutter. There were some real experts a few years back, before the advent of the desktop publisher. if you do have one post a copy here so we can try to encourage some support, they are more interesting than the usual thanks a lot entry.
  8. put me on the circulation list, am happy to help as well.
  9. Thanks guys, all up and running. I prefer the export of the HTMLs, it works for me. Cheers
  10. Thanks for the help, just found out that TOPO maps will be available in Jan 2006, so waiting till then. Regards
  11. A quick bit of advice please. Having read the forums re paperless caching I am unfortunately more confused than when I started. I have an Ipaq pocket PC, vistac c, and am playing around with GSAK but am yet to get the full hang of it. I have just upgraded my membership to premium and have successfully downloaded my first set of GPX waypoints within a radius of my HA. So far so good. All I want to do now is load the data onto my PPC so I can check out the details whilst searching around. This is where I am stuck. Simpleton guide please to getting the data to the PPC. I have a sync station and activesync intalled just dont know which bit to press on GSAK and in what format to get it over. regards and thanks in advance.
  12. I note on the garmin www that there is someting called TOPO Great Britain available to update the vista c, problem is I can't seem to find a supplier. has anyone else used this or know where it is available from? Finally any other hints on UK software for this model would be greatfully received from someone new to the game. Thanks B.
