  1. As I mentioned, I usually don't know something is a power trail until I run the PQ and encounter it while caching. When I first run a PQ there is nothing to tell me it's a PT, so GSAK is useless until I arrive home AFTER I've been caching to update it. And again, not everyone uses GSAK. Why should people be forced to purchase and learn a 3rd party software when it can be handled with the simple addition of an attribute? Also some of us use Mac's and GSAK does not work for Mac's.
  2. I totally agree and think a Geo Art attribute would be wonderful as well! I live in an area that because of Power Trails (Rails to Trails, Food Series, etc) and Geo Arts (Signal, Dice, GS Symbol, etc) the 1,000 limit is easily hit within a 20 mile radius. And we have a small town! Within a 50 mile radius we have the PTA and Marine Corp Emblem. If people could eliminate those, they could create a PQ for each attribute (Power Trail, Geo Art, one with those eliminated) and get so many more results! Please consider this.
  3. Now that others have posted, congrats! I can't believe it was found in near perfect condition after all this time! And we were with you. Each dragonfly and mosquito represent one of us from around the world who has been here cheering you on!!!! Now I can get back to work and not blame you for loosing my job
  4. You did... in spirit! now to watch the video!
  5. It's his party but we'll cry if we want to, cry if we want to, cry if we want to. You would cry to if it happened to you God I really need to stop following this and get some work done...
  6. I figured as much as they knew we were waiting to hear something the first thing they would do when they reached civilization was shower, eat, call family & friends to say they were okay, get drunk, rest and THEN update us. I'm pretty sure they found it but either way I can't wait to see the video!
  7. Couple more hours at most. When he gets there, he better get his arse off that boat, and run to the internets. I think my internet was lagging... It seems to be traveling the same now. I was wondering how they crossed that huge first island in only 3 minutes! But then again I think part of it was wishful thinking on my part...
  8. Is it just me or is he moving REALLY fast this morning?
  9. Or it may have been found by someone not on Geocaching. I had actually signed a park registry book for an Earthcache (it was one of the requirements) before I even knew what Geocaching was. I just signed the registry because we were there and visited it. It wasn't until 2 years later that I got into geocaching and happened to notice there was a cache there. We were first to find and I never logged it But the first person to log mentioned that it had been signed by me. I still haven't logged it as a find, but I did contact the CO and told him. I also told the first to log it to claim f2f since I was not a cacher at the time nor had I done all the requirements. We'll never know until they tell us the details.
  10. Looks like they've stopped for the night... Hopefully they'll post something before they start off tomorrow. This is inspiring me to get a group together to go after the APE cache in Brazil. I know it's been found, but it's on my bucket list! I finally got a passport before the Yuma Mega Event and would LOVE to put it to use sometime!
  11. Nope... I'm on a tight deadline for work and since I saw this posted on the Podcacher Facebook page yesterday, I haven't even started! I'm hoping the lack of a SPOT message and the amount of time spent at GZ means they're thinking of an awesome way of phrasing the F2F story for the log. Guess we're just going to have to wait until they return back to civilization! I hope it's soon so I can get back to concentrating on work. My boss is only so patient when it comes to my Geocaching addiction, I think the fact I didn't do my work this time would allow me much more time to Geocache but not the funds to do so if you know what I mean.
  12. LOL Now THAT would be worse than a DNF IMHO... I've done that many times... well a car not a canoe. A two mile walk round trip up and down a huge hill cost me a FTF.
  13. I just hope they find it, I'm supposed to be working but instead I'm addicted to following them. I have no idea what the Spot thing does other than follows them, but I keep refreshing there and here. But I agree, we may not know for awhile if they are FTF or DNF, but I wish them the best of luck! To bad the CO couldn't meet them there today instead of later in the month.
