  1. email sent: Yes received name- Yes - but wait - there's a change at the last minute..... yes, got the revised mission. sunshine sent- as per revised mission sunshine received-
  2. While up there in 2007, I had to forego a cache hunt due to a local asking me not to go there.... one big saltie in residence... Deciding a smilie on a cache page was not worth the smilie on the saltie! Great coins, great place to cache - NT from Alice to Darwin (beware the nano wars!) and the tropic of capricorn was a memorable cache. Wonderful sunsets in Dawin harbour. Great python snakes to wear. Lots of bird ?song not at all like we have here - more a laughing cackle. And heaps of WW2 remnants, that here in NZ we were isolated from. (better not mention the ants in the north or flies / central) Wonderful lizards - so colourful. Alice area has beautiful rock formations, colours so glorious. And if you get to ride or see the spectular Ghan, then you are really taken back in time. Great coins, truly reflect the area.
  3. Just checking in - I'm still around, but having a few health issues, adjusting to new meds for my migraines etc... so pleased to have others stepping in taking control of this mission.... AND so pleased to see all the positive posts. Thanks for those who signed up for what they can give to the community!
  4. Mission details all received. Mission packed and ready to mail. Chilly autumn days are here, so looking forward to a sunshine package arriving too.
  5. I celebrate and work with the Earth every day. I take oxygen from it's atmosphere to nuture my body, so I plant green plant to replenish it. I minimise waste; I say no bags at the checkout; I recycle as much as I can; I compost vegative waste and use it in my flower and vegetable gardens; And of course, I raise Monarch Butterflies (up to 800 in a good season! - but far fewer this year unfortunately) I do not use electricity to dry my washing or my hair. I heat only the hot water I require and not store it in tanks. I exercise by walking. I greet the sunshine each morning; I watch the sunset when I can. I acknowlege the seasons; solistice; equinox. Earthday is every day; Simple, considerate daily tasks celebrate and nuture our planet for our generations yet to be....
  6. Mission One - Sent - receiver has posted receipt Mission Two - Sent - receiver has posted receipt.... MISSION ONE - RECEIVED! Thanks Laval-K9 MISSION TWO - Is now Easter Saturday - no mail with second mission received. Chilly southern winter crept in, brrr..... Perhaps it is too cold for the Easter Bunny now. Edit to update - a few bunny did crept in from the cold and confirm that the mission is on it's way. I'm full of anticipation ! Roll on next Tuesday when mail deliveries start again.
  7. Fabulous design - I just love butterflies. Unfortunately, I promise to curb coin spending until the NZ$ strengthens. All things will improve, I'm sure and meantime, I'll pop this on my "wish list"
  8. You are right about the forum topic... sure is slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!
  9. Man, you guys are quick... Amazing what goes on, while I'm tucked up in bed on the down under side of the world! Sorry to have missed the fun
  10. Both my outgoing missions have arrived at their destination... One incoming received, and just three more mail delivery days before Easter, I'm full of anticipation for the final mission to arrive. What will it be? Where will it come from? Will it have reflect a different perspective on Easter.
  11. Special note - some may still want to put seeds into an international package. Unfortunately, one mission I received had seeds in, that meant they had to be destroyed. New Zealand has very strict organic matter controls... Please do not be tempted to send seeds here... I like this mission!! Please count me in... After all - it is almost WINTER here!
  12. Guess it's NOT now, as you would all be just heading into a Sunday morning, as I head off to Sunday night bed..... Time rolls on slowly as we all wait.
  13. Never saw that term used in the FAKE geocoin I moved last weekend. So fake, that I didn't want to take it far. As a re-distributor of trackables, it felt totally lightweight! Oh, well, back now to activating the next lot of geocoins for this weekend's trip.
  14. Adding a post at the end of Monday - been a long day here! Postman, you must be arriving soon.
  15. Neat - I got to see "A" Puffin while on Iona in 2003. But only from a long distance..... They wer common on the neighbouring isle, but just not where we happened to be!
  16. Posting - though it's Sunday afternoon here - no mail arriving... perhaps there will be the special mail there for you though. Fingers X'd
  17. It was so much fun putting two very different missions together... Thanks for the challenge. I hope we see a photo of Simon in that hat! That and the cookie cutters (maybe for play-dough) took ages to arrive, so I am pleased to see it get there so quickly. From One Chocoholics to another........(maybe some of those mini Easter eggs might be left for the recipent???) The Rabbit coin is a fun Easter coin. The other is the Accessiblity coin. The Deaf Awareness coin was not in the package - it is a round one with sign language images on it. What a fun mission - still a few weeks to go.... I love seeing photos of missions arriving. Only one to arrive here now.... But it's the anticipation that is sometimes a huge part of missions also.
  18. As promised photos of the mission received from Laval K9.... The suspense of wonderfully wrapped parcels... The gifts.... And... The coins! (sorry - I'm not trading!) Yet again, I'm awed by the generosity of mission senders! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
  19. That's a more personalised one... I've always used the diamond one.... as it is an international symbol Sorry - not got one of this round version. But will be interested in it's history. 73s ZL1UMG
  20. Oh, I've been away from the computer a lot in the past month! Family business... Anyway, I get a little time today and found this! WOW! Not quite Maori designs as I know them in NZ, but still very stunning. I hope the exchange rate bounces up at the right time to nab a couple!
  21. A quick report that an Easter mission has arrived on my doorstep..... All the way from Canada.... I peeked! and spied a very special coin. Photos taken, will upload later. Thank you Laval K9 for making it so special and personal. Now if I can just delve a little deeper into that lovely purple shredded paper.... (my favourite colour!) My two outgoing missions have been in the mail system for 6 days now.... according to the rate I paid, they should be delivered next week.... Oh, I do love to see that outgoing missions are received!
  22. I got hit with a regular snowball last month for my birthday.... but it melted! Summertime.... just changed to autumn here.
