  1. Lake Sinclair Travel Bug Hotel Anyone know the owner or can access this cache to free the hostages. Thanks. New Zealand is so far away to do anything than send out a SOS message.
  2. For another spinner coin, I like it indeed. Will watch that space.
  3. No sunshine mission arrival here (but plenty of summer sun) I know the one I sent has not arrived also - please note that it was posted AIRMAIL here, on the FIRST postal day after the name & address arrived. Delivery times in the US seem a bit slow. Patience is great, because every day I can anticipate, and if it has not arrived then I get to anticipate yet again the next day....
  4. nothing at all, FOUR whole days with NO mail delivery. New Zealand closes down for four days over the Easter break. (except shopping!) So what's a girl to go. Hope on a plane, fly to the South Island, drive for six hours (would be less without the cache stops), attend an event with easter egg treasure hunt, drive again for another six hours, picking up more caches, in another direction, hop on another plane and fly home. Addicted - no way! Coin addicted - sure! four whole days and no new geocoins in the mail.
  5. 1. What is your name (caching name is fine), location, age, and occupation. Linda aka Butterfly_Lady, in New Zealand. age - 7 cycles (work that out, or see my profile). Occupation - Celebrant (yep, I get to celebrate) and also by weekday, Company Financial Manager / Administrator. Weekend occupation (when not celebrating) CACHER PLACER / CACHE FINDER / CACHE ANYTHING 2. What was the first geocoin you ever held in your hand? Have trouble remembering - think it was a USA one - seems so boring now. Plain. 3. Approximately how many coins to you currently own? Hello, my name is BL and I am a geocoin addict - some questions are best not asked. Activated to date are 337 - unactivated - probably 100 to 150.... who's counting???? Not my credit card. 4. Approximately how many coins have you released into caches? And how many are still active? Again - lost count. About 100 - 90% still active. Several stolen. some destroyed with cache muggling etc. 5. Have you ever minted a coin? If so - how many? If not - skip to question 6 No - cost is too high. even with the USD exchange rate in our favour at the moment. Average wage in NZ is much lower than US / Europe, so comparative cost is prohibitive. 6. What is your favorite color? Which of my favourite colours - purple, pinks, deep reds, deep blues.... 7. What is your favorite food? Is there any other food than chocolate??? Surely not GIVE ME CHOCOLATE! 8. What are some of your favorite songs/musicians/groups? Where do I begin. Simply Red / Van Morrison / Lenard Cohen / home grown Hayley Westerna...... 9. What hobbies do you do aside from caching and drooling over coins? Are there any other hobbies. Is handcraft a hobby or a way of life??? Raising Monarch Butterflies 10. Your general life philosophy can be stated as: So many have forgotten what contentment is. Stop seeking more, and appreciate what is.
  6. Yippee! My Sextant coins turned up - Coins & Pins were really quick to send these once I mentioned them missing. Bouquet for their quick service and only ONE week exactly for their delivery to here down under! Way to go!
  7. 26 of 66..... that makes 40 still outstanding. Thanks for that info. Makes me feel better about the slooooooooowww postal time to get from here to there
  8. You are too funny That was my story today too I'm on this boat too... maybe tomorrow Ditto - the boat's name is DITTO.
  9. Yippee! I got two "I love geocaching" suncatcher coins today, including the XLE polished gold. Also a labyrinth in nickel & blue.... It's going to be a great week in the mailbox, something feels right!
  10. There is a misconception by some that the cache itself is trackable electronically.... Maybe they thought cachers would have a homing device on it... Interesting - most of the TBs were placed by the same cacher. Perhaps someone followed him / her. Cool to see some hope...
  11. Those who collect tend to sign up for these. Of the coins, a couple of the 2005 ones are HTF - First finders Dance / August 2005 ; Red Selective Availablity / Sept 2005. These are the first two (other than subscriber coin) of the series. On another note, thanks to one cacher, who has offered to get a HTF coin on my list down to New Zealand. It will be lovely to see one in the metal, so to speak. St Paddy's day over here - tootle off to bed time. Hope it was a good one for all.
  12. A couple here HTF in NZ... Geocoin club FTFers dance. Looney Penguin Phone a friend World Traveller, night version. 2007 Easter Egg Navigation. Earth Turtle. 2007 Landsharkz Christmas globe. Sir cache - any version Spinning top coins - any version. Just a few of many.
  13. Wow! Last Saturday (NZ Time) I ordered 4 Mermaid swags. On Thursday here, they arrived! Wow! That's service across the Pacific to here.
  14. Bump to the top of the list again. Hoping the SUNSHINE I sent from our hot summer arrives there this week.... also will be watching my mailbox with anticipation. Got the Mermaid coins within 5 days of ordering.... so fingers X'd now
  15. Wow ! Setting them free - they breed like rabbits! And they don't need to visit the buck rabbit every time. We used to breed rabbits for meat - but we could not set any free into the wild here in New Zealand, as they burrow, and use sheep pastoral land, destroying all the feed. Congrats to fellow NZer, Keewee..... one pet rabbit we had, had the same name.
  16. Well, I definitely don't qualify. But am a recent entrant back into the forums. Hi, My name is Linda / Butterfly and YES, I am a geocoin ADDICT. Even have a geocoin to prove it.... it goes to events with me. So Keewee if you are at the Easter egg hunt at Springs Junction, say hello and discover that coin. Great cointest... hello to all the newbies / n00bies. Great to see your posts.
  17. Question: Where can these coins be purchased (if they are not sold out)? I must have missed the thread... CF30 Time and Space geocoins.... from Coins and pins...
  18. Missed out again..... Time zone differences mean I'm asleep when they are released..... just not fast enough.... Well, that's $100 plus I have to spend on other coins, I guess.... Love the Eggs.
  19. Anyone enlighten me on this coin? What coin is it, and who sells it, if it is still available... it looks great.
  20. Mail sure is slow this week - mailed my mission off in New Zealand to the States 9 days ago..... noted not posted on the forum yet - if you have not yet received a mission - maybe it's from me! Likewise nothing here yet, but I expect it can take up to two full weeks. Once had a parcel from Canada take 3 months - all due to the postal counter worker marking it down to non priority. Patience .......
  21. Lucky me - NZ Post was kind to me today with two parcels.... though one order was short the Sextant geocoin, which I assume is not yet released. Today was a good day - brighten me up when so tired - due to an early morning seminar after a late night AGM.
  22. Puppy, Vetran and..... of course Best in Show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Ditto, ditto, ditto..... Being way down south, south Pacific that is.... patience is the key for me.
  24. Yippee !!!!!!!!! The quadrant coins are out - perhaps all the ones I ordered will be in New Zealand later this week - can hardly wait!
