  6. Don't forget my offer either. Hey Keewee If you really still want an exchange - I'll swap north to south with you..... I'm sure I've got a special coin or two that you don't have, and you must really be hankering after something other than Dunedin made chocolate!
  7. Ditto - great looking design. Would definitely be a "Must-have" on my list.
  8. Australia - which state? Not far from NZ - lots of caching to be done. Hope we will see you over here sometime.
  9. Surely "It's" refer to the peacock and is possessive. We are not talking about "beauty" but the "peacock" "It's" = "peacock's beauty" so it does seem correct grammar, just shortened to fit.
  10. What a lovely way to spend Sunday afternoon - wish it was still Sunday here. Wet Monday work afternoon. Drought appears to have broken.
  11. Team Chelmo Polished silver and gold Main colour - gold
  12. North of Christchurch city is a cache aptly named "Silica City" - recommend you go there..... name says it all.
  13. I had to buy extra chocolate to ensure those bought for the mission were not compromised prior to posting. The diversion worked! :) I too, purchased some special New Zealand chocolate to send..... but alas it only comes in large boxes, so it could not be posted as a flat package. hmmm, what to do - a hard choice. mmmmmm Fortunately there was an alternative to be mailed.
  14. As an international, ahead of the rest of the world..... I find it hard to get the time zones right. Someone will say MDT, or Pacific time, or some other zone, but the world clock conversion wants cities, so I HAVE to know the geography of countries I've never visited..... look at a map, easier said than done. Pre-sales tend to be more equitable, more just when dealing with a world market. Whatever way you do it, there will always be someone who misses out. Always someone who groans and moans, - that is called human nature. Pre-sales mean less risk to the seller. If that is what they want, then so be it. After all, they are forking out the cash to start off with. Please just consider a reasonable time frame. And if there is a delay, let us know.
  15. Sometimes I really have to hunt to find that tracking # on the edge..... if it is simply engraved or stamped on, it can still be hard to read. A coin's tracking # is most obvious when it is next to the "Trackable on GC" text. Thanks for following this forum. It's good to know someone is listening to our aging concerns.
  16. yipee! I've got SUNSHINE!!!! Today's mail on a cloudy day.... A very overcast day here in Hamilton, the day of a large funeral for a firefighter killed in a coolstore explosion. The day of traffic mayhem due to the long funeral procession. An overcast autumn day and I've got SUNSHINE. The postal system has caught up and my thanks go to KYK96 for a lovely card and the geoswag daisy coin & pin. One of my favourites. Hope is alive! Sunshine made it to little ol' New Zealand today.
