  1. I think with conedxf & family's input we now have a broader view. My grankids looked foreward to the booty, on the one occasion i took them caching, and i had to sneak something in the box for them to take it out. It should be fun for all
  2. I have just received notice about the contents of one of my caches, leaving a lot to be desired,I started it off with 13 mildly desirable items, and on checking it there are 4 bits of old tot.Are there pilferers in Herts. or am I missing a point. If this carries on I'm not playing [This message was edited by philgn on July 19, 2002 at 01:01 PM.] [This message was edited by philgn on July 20, 2002 at 11:09 AM.]
  3. I've been going to Ireland for 30 years man and boy. Its only in recent years that Ireland has replaced the roadsigns, most of them were broken down, so perhaps now that they know the names of the roads, maps will follow. As far as weather reports go, why do you need a report when all it does is rain.I recommend the cache near Hacketstown, Thats an adventure if you dont read the clue.
  4. I am a consultant in, motor cyclists finger gesture language, lip reading, the art of getting on to roads when nobody gives way, winning at chicken, saying thank you in 7 languages, ***!!* in 12. and i drive a london cab. [This message was edited by philgn on July 06, 2002 at 01:32 PM.]
  5. My most memorable occasion was when, in the depths of Hertfordshire,me and my old pal came across a couple making love in a country road, next to the graveyard where the cache was secreted, the grave danger was the indignity of my mate being caught with his backside sticking out of a bush trying to get a better view of the occupents of the car Phil Don't take a pound and leave a shilling
  6. Whats all this old tosh about a few nettles, Have we become a nation off wimps. Better a few nettles than up to your neck in muck and bullets. I regularlyish check my caches, And the nettles dont put me off, has no-one heard of dock leaves. Phil Don't take a pound and leave a shilling
  7. As a grandfather of 3 young cache chasers, i would also vote against the virtual only, it would be no fun for my young familly not to get some trinket, It is quite a good way of getting them into the countryside. I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPERTUNITY TO ASK PERSONS TO STOP TAKING THE KIDS STUFF FROM MY CACHES AND LEAVING A LOAD OF OLD TOT I thank you
  8. Determined to beat the other old gerry getting my photo on here, if thats mcdehack my bums a beetroot
