  1. There is a lot of bench mark in Malaysia. You can find it everywhere even at the roadside. Just for your information, the TBM is stand for the Temporary Bench Mark. The TBM is the bench mark that produced by the surveyor for the construction purpose or the certain project purpose such as to determine the ownership of land and others. Thus, the TBM value is not produce by the person who in charge in JUPEM which is the Department of Survey and Mapping in Malaysia. The real BM that produce by JUPEM is is the one that have the copper at the top of the concrete stone and have written the Jabatan Ukur Dan Pemetaan Malaysia (JUPEM) and Tanda Aras (Benchmark) with its code. The value of the height of the benchmark can be obtained from the JUPEM which is located at Jalan Semarak, Kuala Lumpur or from the state JUPEM itself. There will a charge in order to get the BM value but it is affordable. So, don't worry. But, before you walk in to the JUPEM you must get the BM code first and make sure it is in a good condition. If, the BM is destroyed which can be happened due to many factors such as weather and ageing, you also may reported it to the JUPEM. If the is any correction please corrected me as i'm still learn about this. I just want to share this and there is no others meant.
