  1. my bad. I just reread your post about not getting a ticket. You still get the point.
  2. Good Gravy!!! There is no way you can beat a speeding ticket with your GPS!! Just pay it. You could still argue the point, but they won't recognise your device against a Radar or Laser certified Police officer. I could see if you live in a really small town and you have a Barney Fife type cop that doesn't know how to calibrate his speed detection device. Again you would have to prove the officer didn't use it correctly. From an ex-Cop.
  3. I just got my explorist 210. I have a PC with Windows XP home. What progam should I load to utilize my new gps? I know there is a disc that came with the unit. Buy would I be better off with another program? And What should it be? I have read several threads about the Swiss army utility 6.5. I am also looking at getting a Premium membership. I have my unit now but can't use until after Christmas. Where to begin?
  4. go to amazon and get an Explorist 210. Bought mine for $125.95 after all discounts.

  6. One more thing people. I have also read some points on what kind of download programs to use for input of cache locations. What is the benefit of being a premium member versus not? Still very new at this.
  7. I have ordered my Explorist 210 from Amazon.com for $125.95 including shipping. and after all the rebates and free shipping. I should get it the next couple of days. Hopefully my wife will let me open it before X-mas. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!! I CAN STILL SAY THAT!!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!
  8. That last bit of information I will definately remember that when I get explorist 210. Thanks for the great advice!!
  9. Thanks for the input. Any one else have any input for the Magellans? I will probably go for the Magellan explorist 210.
  10. I have continued to read posts on different types of gps's. I have heard some things about a Magellan Explorist 210 that will let me down load Cache waypoints. Is this a recommended model for me?
  11. My natural next question is? What is the procedure for inputting coords manually versus downloading? I know nobody doing this to get any other info.
  12. I need good solid advice for purchase of Magellan explorist 200 or Garmin e trex. Do I really need to download maps and such? Just wanting to get started. I want something easy to use. between 100 and 150 dollars. I don't know anyone else who is into this at all to give me advice or show me how to use these devices.
