  1. Went snow caching today, after we received 9 - 12 inches of snow in the area this week. This particular cache was an easy find and I covered it well before leaving. Left couple other trails in snow to throw off geomuggles. If the cache was going to be hard to locate, I'd have passed it up, so as not to tear up too much of the snow cover. :P

  2. Great job Groundspeak staff!! The forums are very entertaining, and glad to see them back up. You guys and gals :D did a very BIG job in a short time, and from what I've seen up to this point ---looks GREAT! Keep up the great work. It's well worth my membership fee (good value)! :)

  3. Yes, I agree! I like the changes that Jeremy has been making to the maps icon_smile.gif I would also like to see an option to filter out caches I've found on the maps (not just removing the check mark from the icon). Keep up the good work Jeremy.

  4. Hey! Bigredmed! Some people, myself included, go geocaching for the simple reason of just finding the cache. I TNLN most of the time when I go out caching (probably 98% of the time). Occasionally I find something that I trade for, but most of the time I just log the cache. Just because people decide to post TNLN does not mean they are "copping out" or ignoring a problem of junk in caches. Trading items is just not important to me. I just love the exercise and the thrill of the hunt.

  5. Absolutely, both parties should log the cache. I cache with a friend (who, by the way, got me hooked on this hobby) icon_biggrin.gif and we both log the finds. Sometimes he finds it, and other times I do. We enjoy the sport if we do caches individually or as a team. Sometimes 2 pairs of eyes are better than one! We've had our share of no finds just the same. It's still fun either way....

  6. Don't get discouraged. "If you place it, they will come." I've read the page and everything looks good. Since it is a little remote from other caches, and approximately 2 mile round trip, it will take some time to get logged. Some cachers will pass it up based on the length, but like others have posted here, some really like the challenge. Pulling it from the Members Only listing will help with the activity level. I live in KC area and travel to Lake of the Ozarks quite often, and will eventually stop to do the cache. Sounds like a fun cache. Thanks.
