I got the Windshield suction cup mount today but can't seem to get the Cig lighter power adapter attached. What am I doing wrong? Go Navy -
Missed the first 2 caches. One dead, one well you know how that goes, couldn't find it YET. Found the 3rd one though. Good hunting. Go Navy

OK folks. First, thanks to all of you. I got my MreiPlat today. Got the Topo CD, case, batteries, SD card, reader. Updated the Firmware. Figured out how to put waypoints in, figured out how to put regions in. Only thing left to do is figured out what the GOTO does and tomorrow I am off to find the first cache. Go Navy Go Navy

I can go to the cache page and download the gps info to Easy GPS. Then I can upload this to my MeriPlat through the serial cable. Can I transfer a waypoint to my SD card and then see it on my MeriPlat. Thanks for all your help. Wish there was a group here in Va Beach that we could get together and talk. Go Navy

All I am brand new to GPS. I am looking into purchasing a hand held unit. I will be using it mainly for marking fishing spots/hunting spots. I am trying to decide between the new Garmin GPSMAP 76S and the Magellan Meridian Platinum. I know the Garmin hot spots will cover the main lake (GASTON) that I will be fishing. I don't know if magellans topo map will cover that lake or not. Thanks for the help Dave
