I was digging up a new garden bed a few years ago. I found a golf ball buried six inches below the grass!

Oh no! Not another bag of doots!
-
yrium placed a Where's George dollar in a cache in California, and included the name of the cache in the bill report.

"Go Ahead, Make My day!" (GC19F0). It was located in Eastwood Park.

I would consider a cache to be any container with a log to sign. I liked the one you have in the top of the pay phone kiosk!

For those of you who missed it, I have bumped the discussion of finding bags of doots in the woods. It's under The Hunt/The Unusual. -

You realize, of course, that the co-ordinates are engraved on the benchmark! -
Moving the WG dollars from one geocache to another interferes with the purpose of the Where's George site. I would recommend that you spend them someplace instead. Please do go ahead and enter them on the WG site, though. in two and a half years I have entered 1091 bills into WG. I have received 231 hits scattered across 27 states.

quote:Originally posted by Cholo:In the early or mid 50's, a cereal company had an offer to own one square inch of property in Alaska. I once had a deed to one of these square inches. It may have been the Yukon Terr. of Canada instead of Alaska, I really can't remember the details, but I think it was 'gold rush' related. Does anyone have any information about this? These were in boxes of Nabisco Shredded Wheat, and the deeds mentioned the "Klondike Big Inch Land Company" as the previous owner. I think it was supposed to be in Alaska, but I am not certain. -
I tried www.acronymfinder.com, but no luck on these examples!

Bristol, England is at 51 deg 28 min North and 2 deg 35 min West. The place you are looking for would likely be near the south coast of Wales.
