  1. On the other hand, I may get a Garmin Nuvi 200 for about the same price... But don't everyone jump in at once.
  2. I received an ad for the Harman Kardon GPS 300. Has anyone used one of these or know about one of these? I did a search and came up with zip. The ad lists this 50% off! Says it has maps for US and Canada. It has turn by turn maps and spoken driving directions. Tell me what you know.

  4. Find in a box? For me, it's the chest full of gold coins that I found in the "Pirate Treasure" Cache or the 2005 Cadillac that was sitting there with the keys in it for the FTF. The $25,000 stamp collection was nice, but I don't collect stamps, so I left it for the next to find.
  5. Looks like they're not going to remove it as Voigt' requested. Ebayers should post questions about the cache to help flush him out.
  6. I hunted this cache. All the Travel Bugs were stolen due to being politically incorrect.
  7. Quote of the day for this thread. IMHO.
  8. Bless you. It's been to long since Daddy Stache Rat was in school. And yes, it can be hard to teach an old rat new tricks. Edit Daddy Stache Rat's poor spelling.
  9. If the person was just curious about the cache, I would explain how the sport was played. If he was destroying it, I would say, "hey, that's mine." I would try to retreive the cache, notify the owner and follow his instructions about replacing or archiving.
  10. Well silly me. I would have reached the same conclusion.
  11. My "kids" genders ages and desires: female 21 - loves to cache. male 19 - has never been with us. male 17 - caches with us but is to macho to show enthusiasm, but goes each time he can.
  12. Briansnat, I couldn't have put it more eloquently. Their intolerance to these small children is abhorrent.
  13. Hey, I'm just a newbie too. But it would seem that a second had GPSr is like a second hand car. You can get a deal. You can get a dud. Your looking for one that has been taken care of. You must judge for yourself how much wear and tear is acceptable for the price. If you can actually check it out in person, you're way ahead of the game. Check options, features and put it next to your existing one to see how accurate it is. If you can't see it first, ask a lot of questions.
  14. Wow, I guess god has spoken. I thought this is where newbies went for information.
  15. One of the last caches I visited was "Snakes Alive." Researching it revealed the cache had a pair of rattlesnake ear rings. I wanted these for my wife. We did not get to the cache for a week. Sure enough, they were still there. We took the ear rings and left a swiss army style knife in a sheath. I was happy to see it was taken by the very next visitor to the cache.
  16. Since you know him, call him out, then punch him out. Kidding, of course.
