  1. Ok you dont believe me, but with the correct equipment you can become invisible to muggles. THE BEST WAY TO HIDE SOMETHING IS TO PLACE IT IN PLAIN VIEW!!!!! I have a can of that "Hidden In Plain View" paint, and it don't work!!! Oh, sure for a few minuets it worked, the cache did disappear, but as soon as it dried real good.....bam....there it was again! It don't work!
  2. This is totally Not True! A female can drive you home too!!!
  3. I keep all my Geocaches from my Querry in GSAK. When I come home from caching, I use GSAK to log my finds for the day. It makes it really simple for when you have many caches to log.
  4. I guess that somebody will be me go here Welcome back and have fun!!
  5. TNLN=Took Nothing Left Nothing TFTC=Thanks for the Cache SL=signed logs There is a link to these codes...somebody will post it soon. TTYL= Talk to You Later
  6. As Timpat said....yes! No unlock codes are needed for Topo 2008. Load it on 3 computers if you want...what the heck,,,,make it an even 4!
  7. Actually, I was able to get your address very easily Dennis! Who's Dennis? Might want to check that again. I'm finding RCC living on Dennis Street and RCS on Sand Hill Road, both with addresses.

  9. I just ordered the Mapsource Topo 2008 DVD from ANTONLINE. It was $69.74 pluss $5.99 shipping using UPS. I immediately got a conformation email...then a few hours later a UPS tracking number. I had it at my doorstep in 3 days. http://www.antonline.com/antonline.php?op=...amp;x=0&y=0
  10. I've found a couple like that. I agree with you. Those are awesome when properly painted. What is it...can't tell anything from the picture?
  11. I just ordered the Mapsource Topo 2008 DVD from ANTONLINE. It was $69.74 pluss $5.99 shipping using UPS. It will be here on Monday. http://www.antonline.com/antonline.php?op=...amp;x=0&y=0
  12. Well since this is a Geocaching fourm, I mistakingly thought you needed this feature for Geocacihng...and you are welcome...thank you! Geez...I retract my "Respectfully statement at the beginning...thank you very much!
  13. Dutch....relax dude! Maybe, just maybe the CO is on vacation, maybe, just maybe the son or daughter just gave birth to their first grandchild, maybe, just maybe the are on their way to Arizona to watch to Superbowl! I'm just trying to say that maybe there are things in their live that is way more important then checking there email. To a lot of people Geocaching is a hobby and it is down on this list of priorities in there everyday life...so give them a break. If they don't answer you, maybe you could contact a previous finder and ask them if they have some ideas that will help you to be successful. Keep having fun.....enjoy this hobby....it's fun!!!
  14. Respectfully I ask,,,What do you use this feature for? My GPSr shows this data,,,but I can't figure out for the life of me what good it does. As I'm driving or walking the location data changes constantly. When Geocaching I look at the arrow and the distance to the cache. If I get lost and after having Marked the truck, again, I just follow the arrow. What is the benefit of displaying the coordinates do for you? Just curious.
  15. CoyoteRed, Well like you, I really only check when I feel a need. Just today and because of a tremendous amount of rain here in SoCal, I had to pull one of my caches back into my shop for maintenance. I looked at the log and didn't see any names that I didn't recognize from the on-line finds, so that was my audit. It was nothing formal, nothing scheduled but I did look at it. Had I found something that looked funny, I would have researched it more. I like to keep this as a hobby and not a part time job...if it starts to be that...I'm outta here! I probably worked like "8,000,000" hours in my 40 years of working....time to have fun now!!! SC is a beautiful state, I'll be visiting there next fall and hope to be able to go find a few!!!
  16. I always check the logs when I visit my caches. When I find a name in the physical log that didn't log online I cross it out. Why?
  17. I usually don't check the logs that close, except for one time. I had a cache that was somewhat difficult to find. Most of the log entries noted that it was well camo'd and took a great deal of effort to find. All of a sudden a new cacher wrote a log something like..."walked right up to it, I wish they were all this easy!". Well that made me take a trip out to that cache and check the log...I was ready to delete his smiley. Opppsss...sure enough this person found it and logged it! I have never found a log entry that wasn't recorded on the cache page, but I have found log entries that were logged into the cache, but NOT recorded on the cache page. I guess they didn't want the Smiley.
  18. "and the owner does go through the cache log with a fine tooth comb" In the many logs of my hides that I have reviewed, I've never found an on-line Find without a log entry, But I have found a Log entry without a "on-line" find entry. Go Figure!!!
  19. I know, I hate it when this happens...I get dizzy!!! Yes, it happens to all of us. Just turn the darn thing off and look for the most likely hiding place. From the cache page you saw what kind of cache it is, Micro, Small, maybe an ammo can. Use that information and the hint if you choose to, and look for a likely hiding spot. Do you see a pile of leaves or sticks, maybe rocks? Maybe the hint or the cache description told you that it might be hanging in a bush or shrub. Ohhhh, it there your job is to find it, and it's no doubt camo'd to not stick out like a sore thumb. Some are hard and some are easy. This is the fun part of the game. Good Luck and don't give up!!!!
  20. I guess you just don't renew it! I'm not sure what cancelling it will do for you once you paid. I use to live in Taylor, Michigan up near Middlebelt Rd somewhere...ahhh...those were the days!
  21. Ahhhhh.......Grasshopparr....your journey is only as old as when it begins....Hmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Well, I know that some people would think badly.....I want your thoughts.
  23. I'm wondering how you feel about bugs going in the opposite direction then their intended route. I have my first bug here in Los Angeles (A medallion from the 1984 Los Angels Olympics) that has a mission to go to the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Of course the most direct route would be from LA right over the ocean to China. And that of course would work. But, what if a visiting tourist took my bug back to say,,,my home state of Michigan. Sure there is about 2,000 miles or so and it's going east when it should be going west! But, what if there is somebody in the Auto industry that will be traveling to China next week or next month and they pick up my bug and take it all the way to it's destination! That may or may not have happened if it stayed here on the West Coast. Of course, somebody traveling to China might have picked it up here in California too. I guess my point is, just because a bug goes in the opposite direction isn't necessarily a bad thing! What do you think?
