Wow I did not thing we were old but we are 32 and 30 and this female went out and purchased the GPS for geocaching. I really enjoy getting out there and whenever we have a free moment we cache. We also take our 9 and 6 year old with us quite often.
I will not cache alone. That is just my feeling. I have done some urban caches alone and they dont bother me but I will not step into the green belt on my own or do a terrain where I could fall (recently had some major sugery and inclines still intimidate me...We started caching to help me build the strenght back into my legs (too many months in a wheel chair) and to get the Family outside) But we all love the sport.
I came across a cache (im using this co-ordinate as only an example), it had extra digits. What do they mean ?
N 44° 10.1545 W 077° 35.9243
For instance the 5 and the 3 were extra. I ignored them and went only by the 3 digits after the decimal, but where is there a fourth number? What does it mean and have you seen this before?
Thanks
Actually, on a side note I use a Lawrence, and my caching buddies use Garmin, I have noticed every single time, I had a better accuracy, I have never had my unit off by 4 meters on any cache so far (I have done about 60 of them).
food for thought.
Thanks guys for the info

Hi - we are fairly new to GeoCaching and we would like to know where we can find more information on these events.
Any info would be great.
Also if anyone knows of any really good kid friendly caches that you can point us towards it would be great - we are in orleans but love to travel around the city.
Cheers!
