I haven't really considered what I would like to find in a cache. Since I haven't gone out to look for any yet I haven't formed an opinion yet XD

I'm just starting up, and I'm a teenager. Just find people who enjoy the outdoors, they don't have to bee all that geeky just tell them about the caches hidden all around that propose a challenge. At least that is how I'm getting my friends into it.

Well, I'm living in Southern California so I don't have to worry too much about harsh winters. I'll try and keep appropriate ones on hand for whatever cache I'm after. There is a Holy Grail type multi around here and I liked the ideas the put forth. I already know I'd want to do three for the three books. I haven't considered a Wherigo since I'm rather new to the Geocaching seen but I'll make sure to check it out.

I was wondering if anything in here might be considered unacceptable swag. It's just some stuff I've had around my house for a while collecting dust on shelves. Also I was thinking of setting up a Lord of the Rings type cache Multi-cache of course since I found a ring with an odd resemblance to the infamous One Ring. Any tips on how to get that done would be awesome.

I'd take the marbles since I seem to have lost mine. I've got some little trinkets sitting around, made of both wood and stone. Different animal shapes.

They are like pokemon cards, but they are unique to their game. You could use them if you'd like, but personaly I would not take them ( I still have half of my old collection from when I was younger) I was thinking about putting in some old matchbox/hotweel cars.

I have to say, I love the CAD models drawings of each Now I just have to find a way to budget some time at work for my own >.>

Rather than starting a new thread I will post here since I have the same sort of topic. I found a "geocache" about a year back with my girlfriend and we signed the log, however I did not know about the whole geocaching sport and the community it has. After being reacquainted with the whole idea I remembered about this certain place as I bike by it to work every morning. I checked and the hiding place is still there but I cannot for the life of me find anything else about it. I was wondering if there was a way that I could contact my local reviewer and see if it has been deactivated or never cataloged. It's hidden in plain sight yet it's the perfect place and if I could I would love to adopt the spot for my own geocache. If anybody would care to shine a light on the subject for me it would be much appreciated. Warm reguards, Winxx

I guess I will just start with the Iphone 4 and see where that takes me. If I ever feel the need to get a new GPS I'll look towords Garmin since I've got a mac and I hear they come with compatible software. I'll see about getting something on the newer side to keep all my cache data up to date or I may just find that roughing it is my style I believe the area around me is rather dense since it is urban and I've been planning on just biking to the cache spots. I've already collected a certian set of coordinates and a quest that I have obligated myself to compleate so if all else fails I have something to strive for. I recently stumbled upon the whole idea of geocaching through some forums at work. Therefore I have yet to head out and look yet. I am planning on going out this saturday to certian caches around my house with my friend who has an Iphone which we can use for tracking. I was wondering if I should invest in a decent GPS if I plan on doing this through my college years (I'm starting next month). Also I was wondering if I should expect to beable to log 6-8 caches on my first full day or if I'm just really hopeful. Thanks, Winxx
