  1. That is a good deal, but, ive already ordered mine I will keep that one in mind tho for other people who ask, thanks
  2. heh what would you know, me sending an email to a fellow 'cacher bragging has now made me order another, as he wants one too anyway, ill let you know how it all goes...
  3. Hey everyone! I just ordered my 60Csx off Amazon for a steal price at $399.87 It's going to me an amazing upgrade from my Magellan GPS 315 Also i live in Australia so im saving quite a bit by getting it in US, shipped to friends then shipped to me. They work out to about ~$US635 to buy here downunder. Anyway just letting everyone know who doesnt already that Amazon has a great deal on at the moment, 25% off so what better time to get one. Another thing to people considering getting a 60Csx, they are amazing units (well compared to my current one) and dont be put off by all the 60Csx "problems", "bugs" and "issues" because as with the late 60Cs im sure all these problems will be ironed out with formware releases. Anyway, im all happy and ill be sure to let you all know how the whole "Getting Overseas" thing goes... Cheers. Angus
  4. yep, im australian and i (and everyone else i know of whos know about it) calls it kay-sh
  5. Im 16, gee i would have thought there would be loads more people my age... i suppose unless you can afford a GPS or your parents dont have one, and you dont have transport, it would be a tad hard to go caching... Its good to see around here everyone is not judged by age, expecially young people/older people.
  6. I am also very interested, and would be happy to be a beta tester if there will be such a thing running...
  7. i see lots of people saying that they would like to be on the mailing list, but is there one? anyway i would like to be on the list
  8. Hrm, i like the sound of this. I have an old Palm M100 sitting there i hardly ever use, could i put CachMate onto it, i suppose so why not. How do you hook up the gps to the pda? I have gps data cables (serial) and the pda data cables (serial) Id love to have the hints and write logs int he field.
  9. Hey, I was just wondering, if i come across a TB in a cache, should i take it? Even if i have others? When is it alright to take lots? If the cache only gets visited every month? Ive done 6 cache's and gathered 3 out of 4 of the TB's. Am i being a bit greedy? I would have grabbed the 4th one but i was in a rush a forgot to keep it out when i was putting the cache back. I grabbed them all because the cache's only get visited every month or two and i think i could move the TB's to more places. Cheers, Angus
  10. Eh im new, but not because i got a GPS. Ive had numerous GPS's for years now, i think weve got 4 total. We have so many because we have a hot air balloon. Only reason i decided to finally look into this geowhat site i signed up to a year back is because i am on holidays and dadgum bored. I now have 6 cache finds and am planning a few of my own and a few TB's, and a subscribed premium member. Oh, and i also have a very bad addiction i think.
  11. Ohk being a bit of a post whore here but im really happy with how this is working!! Usually thing dont work for me :S.... I just downloaded th 5 PQ .LOC files, merged them together in notepad, then converted them into the .WPT file i wanted. Im still waiting for one PQ but i have ~2000 at the moment and the .LOC file is only ~500kb, im posting a screenshot of my screen layout just for fun. 2000 cache's at 500kb makes me wonder, the whole of australia would only be like? 2mb max? I would love an australia wide one... eh the screenshot is kinda crappy because its not my computer, just a temp one i borrowed... so i dont have photochop and windowsis plain...
  12. I just finished adding 5 PQ's They all cover a 750km radius of all cache's, they are evenly spaced along the route im traveling, its all good, hopfully, i hate the thought of missing a good cache... Still it would be nice have have a weekly generated .LOC / .GPX file of a whole country / state, a nice premium member feature. Cheers, Angus
  13. Ohk ive purchased a monthly subscription, only because this geocaching things is sooo dadgum addictive... ill let you know how it goes
  14. Had a quick scan of the site, but it wont really tell me what a PQ is, are they for haldhelds only? And if i purchase the subscriptopn now with paypal, would it get approved straight away, like within an hour or two? Edit: Ohk so i found out that i can download them into a loc file, thats good. I can do five a day? Would five be enough to do all of Australia? How does the large area selection work? Thanks for the help, Angus
  15. Hey, Just wondering if there is a way i can download a .LOC file for the whole of a country (australia). I know the file would be big but for people like me who travel and dont have the net much i can just convert it into a .WPT for Oziexplorer because i have a moving map constantly running in the car when im traveling, if i come close to a cache, i can pull over and check it out, without having to downlaod every seperate one for each cache. If theres a chance of this, i know its asking alot but could i get it ASAP, i would love it when im traveling ~3000km from one side of Australia to the other. In future a programmers API would be really nice, so i could whip up some code myself to just pull everything i need out of yout databases... Cheers, Angus
