  1. That's what I was expecting but because it is our own coin, the "Found it? Log it!" link doesn't appear. There is a "Add a log entry" however as per kini_ont which I was able to use. Thanks for the help though!
  2. Hi all, I did a quick search for the answer before posting and I may simply be missing the obvious but here goes... We were given a 500 Finds Geocoin by a friend and released it just before moving house/area with a goal of finding its way to our new home. (I know it might have been easier simply to pack it with other stuff but where's the fun in that!?) Within a couple of months, our coin has indeed arrived and we picked it up from a local cache last night. What I cannot seem to do is to "grab" it into my possession!? We want to log the fact that we've retrieved it and might keep hold of it. Is it simply a case of editing the description? Obviously at the moment it is still showing as being in the Geocache. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, David - davcom1
  3. Hello all, We're moving to Devon soon and have some caches hidden around south Swindon, Wilts. We plan to archive most of our caches and re-use once we get settled in Devon but wondered if anyone wanted to adopt our East Wichel series of 10 caches? First of series - http://coord.info/GC33FY2 Is this the place to offer them or should we just remove them all? (We don't really know fellow local 'cachers that well as we've only been in Wilts for 12 months and caching since August 2011) Regards, Davcom1 - David
  4. Aye, we have a few other caches hidden and those that are PMO never have problems. I was going to set this series as PMO too but Mrs Davcom1 wanted it to be available to all because we'd spent so much time creating it and wanted everyone to enjoy. Lesson learned.
  5. Hi Mr O, Thanks for the reply - their member name exists and was created on the 31st October. No logged finds funnily enough. I don't think I'll bother reporting to Groundspeak but will send them a little message...
  6. Hi guys, We're still fairly new to Geocaching but have hidden a few of our own caches too. A couple of weeks ago we hid a trail of 13 caches with a Halloween theme, including one with a doorbell - second hide feature. I noticed on a couple of 'found' logs that came through, that there were kids at one of the hides who claimed to know what was going on when the Geocachers arrived at GZ. Since then we've had logs that mention the logbooks have been defaced so we went out today to check. Sure enough they were defaced and the doorbell has been stolen so what was a very popular little hide is now gone. We collected our affected caches from the local area and archived them as its obvious that the perpetrators have signed up to Geocaching.com to get the coordinates of the cache hides - they've even signed the log books (along with their 'rude' drawings and badly spelt expletives) Member ID: 5ww Is it worth reporting them to Groundspeak? Thanks, David - davcom1
  7. Arrrghhh - did 12 caches today and want to log them!! More like GeoCrashing methinks!
