  1. Schnell gefunden und geloggt.
  2. And how You guys are out of line... they are not nearly big enough to make good pond skimmers. Too small to really get your fingers around and get a good grip. Compass Roses on the other hand skip much further and have a good heft to them. Anyway, philosophically, what is the purpose of creating any geocoin? I'm in it mostly for the cool designs and the satisfaction of sharing it with others. A GeoTag allows you to have your own, personal and unique design -- just the same as a PathTag or CacheTag. Enjoy! -- Scott
  3. Very, very true. As a matter of fact, I went caching this weekend and I had a great .... hang on -- all the geocoins are going to disappear tomorrow??!? Oh, nevermind, he said "geoocoins" -- totally a different beast. Whew!
  4. I did have a couple of emails from Son of Cyclops, but truthfully, they were respectful and to the point. I missed one email and didn't reply and he didn't 'bug' me until a month later when he just asked again about a possible trade. And when I saw the 2nd message, I remembered not replying to the first one .Thank you for being responsible parents as well.... I hope that I can do as well when my son gets to that age.
  5. I like the coin a lot as well. I don't think the lightning bolt sticking out will be an issue if the coin is made from brass or copper base metal, but the cost of the coin is proportional somewhat to the diameter of the die. So if this were a 3" coin, that would mean that the whole thing fits in a 3" circle. Having the lighting bolt stick out like it's shown means that the cloud portion is that much smaller. I had the same issue when I did my first GasCans geocoin -- I wanted the gas filling nozzle to be sticking out, but that would have just made the rest of the coin too small. You have lots of options here for enamel filling. That may be your best route to go for various 'coin editions' instead of choosing different metal types. White glow lightning bolt, Red eyes, gray cloud Yellow glow lightning bolt, green eyes, white cloud Blue lightning bolt, red glow eyes, black cloud etc etc etc.
  6. Here, here! I second this bug. I"ll be looking for this one to get fixed soon. If it"s not fixed soon, then we"ll have lots of strange log picture descriptions. Y"all have a nice day!
  7. Not true. My son has a non-premium account and we can view and log archived cache pages just fine from his account. But if you are creating a cache specifically for storage of photos or coins and you do archive it, remember that you will not be able to edit the listing any further, so please put in a valid description before you hit that archive button.
  8. Well, that reminds me of a certain favorite smashed nickel that I got from you at GW5..... but back on topic! I have a multi that has a hugely long description page. It's meant to be informative, but I also think that it scares people off. It hasn't been found in many months --- well... since the blackberries were last in season. There are several trackable items in the cache that probably should move along, but I put them there hoping to attract at least a few cachers to do my cache. So far, that's not working out too well. So here's my dilemma - should I go move the trackables myself -or- should I go place a few strategic individual caches in the area (within 0.1mi of my cache's stages) to cause people to come over and at least consider doing my multi? I'm leaning strongly toward the 2nd option right now.
  9. Well, now that you're onto us, you could print some of these to carry around in case you're approached: http://www.geocacher-u.com/resources/brochure.html I find that they're a great resource! And it adds much to the legitimacy of your presence if the cops show up, too.
  10. I'm looking for two satellite coins to add to my growing collection of satellite-based coins. Geo Coin Club Sputnik 2007-10 and Eureka Geocoin (by Thueml + Simone) -- originally for sale at geocoinshop.de I have lots of traders and some coins that are tradable, even though they aren't on my trader's list yet, so just ask. Basically, what I'm saying here is --- let's make a deal! Send me an email or PM.
