  1. Those look stunning.... I'm definitely in for a coin or two.
  2. just don't try to track the coin with the info provided on the coin.... have you ever been to http://gc.com ?
  3. Heck, eBay even now has a 'Geocoin' Category: Sporting Goods > Outdoor Sports > Geocaching > Geocoins http://listings.ebay.com/aw/plistings/cate...x.html?from=R11
  4. I was gonna say this, too. eBay is really the only place on the web that has a continuously updated, rotating selection of both new and older coins for sale. All of the vendor's sites will only have the new stock and possibly any old stock that they can't sell for one reason or another.
  5. You will have to cut the price to compete with this one at $2.75 per trackable token. This one is made of aluminum, and thus would survive the 'burned ammo box' scenario, I expect. http://store.geocoins.net/index.php?main_p...85cb085e41fbb5a
  6. That's a really cool coin! Will it be distributed only to 4-H members locally or will it be sold to the general, coin-collecting public? The trick here will be that the people who get the coin will have to be members on geocaching.com in order to actually register the coin and/or track it, of course. So, I guess this is a way to turn your friend into a geocacher!! How about: "NYS 4-H: Hunt, Hold, Hide, Have fun!"
  7. Did you at least sign the magnet and re-hide it?
  8. I would like to purchase a 3 year subscription to the 'whatever coin CinemaBoxers creates' geocoin club. I don't expect regular releases, but with this subscription, I do expect to be automatically be sent the latest creations from this amazing designer. How much is it to sign up for such a club??
  9. Huh? That's some special daughter you've got there to have been born on a non-existent day, since 2002 wasn't a leap year. (You must have meant 2004... right?) I don't have any of these to trade, but if you can't get one here through a trade, maybe you can buy one for her "second" birthday in 2012.
  10. This will go perfectly with my Laptop coin! Looking forward to being able to buy and/or trade for these!
  11. Finally... located those pictures of my old bug. And here it was during the long restoration process... Notice the bird building her nest just below the inspection sticker.
  12. I'm heading out there tomorrow to relocate this cache to a legal distance. Then I'll put it up for submission. If the owner claims it then I'll turn it over. For those of you who signed the log I'll let you know the GC number. (That is if they let me submit it) cross your fingers folks. But I believe the owner has decided to abandon this one. Looking forward to finding this one!
  13. Well, I said I wasn't gonna buy any more coins till I sold some of my current collection. So I guess I'd better get on that 'selling' thing, cause I already placed an order! Got both a red and an orange bug -- memories of my orange bug that was full-frame-off restoration to a bright red bug.
  14. What about leaving a travel bug? Then if someone comes along and moves the bug from the cache -- that proves that the person who held the bug previously was actually there, right? I have a cache where the lid was cracked and the insides totally wet. Well, someone comes along and finds my cache and *tries* to sign the soaked log book. They leave a TB to 'prove' they were there. (I ended up archiving and replacing a new container in a new location under a new GC#) So when I removed the old log book and let it dry out quite a bit, I could actually make out their name etched into the wet pages.
  15. Very nice design, indeed! Are both pieces trackable separately? How does the sword stay 'latched' into the scabbard?
  16. Coins with spinners are always a big hit. older coins: South Pointing Compass GPS interactive spinner coin new coins: C&P navigation coin (don't recall the name)
  17. Ahhh.... this explains why the fellow in front of me at the P.O. yesterday was so insistent on getting some 'Forever' stamps and wouldn't accept just some $.41 stamps instead. (Our P.O. was out of Forever stamps at the time.) Guess now's a good time to restock on those stamps, even though they are only good for mailing bills. See the official notice from the USPS here: http://www.usps.com/prices/welcome.htm?fro...amp;page=prices The way I read the notice of large envelopes is that they are going up $0.03 when comparing a 3 oz and 4 oz large envelope price from old to new.
  18. Looks good for me! Love that my whole name made it on! Thanks so much.
  19. I don't know about everyone else, but I can't get into the CoinsAndPins website tonight. The pre-order was supposed to close tomorrow. Maybe they will extend it another day for the website outage that they seem to be experiencing right now. Has anyone been able to get in tonight? (Thursday 2/7)
  20. No other forms to Norway, but it's nice if you call them game tokens instead of coins on the customs form and set the value to just a few $...Same applies for Sweden.Same also applies for Canada I'd say that "Game Token" is the best bet for every international geocoin shipment. And, best of all, IT'S TRUE!
  21. Stunning! I'll have an even more glowing and gushing review once I have them in my hands.
  22. I was wondering how long it would take someone to find that thread. It was certainly very heated back then Wow, was it ever! Didn't mean to ignite that all over again. Just say "NO" to smoking the forums.
  23. I am also interested to add that to my Dream List - That is a nice looking coin. Pls let me know about this also. THX How about the info when it was first posted here in the forums?? http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=160571
  24. Wheatbacks are the US Penny coin (1 cent) design before the Lincoln Memorial was put on the back of the US penny. Addy = shorthand for Address.
