  1. RATES LAST UPDATED 22MAY 14:00 PM EQU GBP18.00 BANK SELLING RATE 1USD EQUALS 0.594177 Looks good to me.
  2. I would recommend a visit to the 16th Century Pub (Virtual) cache. Great pub and toasted cheesy sarnies too.
  3. Now that is very tempting. I have friends on the Sunshine Coast, a little further North, but doable. And Brisbane at night, along the boardwalk, is a stunning place to be. I'd better start planning.
  4. I do find FB more lenient towards free speech.
  5. The said cache looks like it's still going strong. A new log now and then isn't a big deal. And I presume the container is made from wood. So I would leave it as is. The caching community help each other. The community is stronger than 1 CO gone AWOL.
  6. My answer is simple. Garmin Dakota 20 and Talky Toaster's free maps. You shall not be a wanting for anything else.
  7. I was fortunate enough to spend a few days in (O)Porto a few years back. It is a fine place with a crumbly old city next to the River Douro, and it's slopes, home of Port(oh I love a vintage Tawny)and their accompanying Port warehouses along the river too. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to the local event. Less crowded than the Giga(?)Simply Paul mentioned.
  8. I'd say a heavy majority of CM caches are NOT on church property to avoid the permission issues. Makes sense to me. Good Luck.
  9. I'm trying (and failing) to work out why this cache is being promoted as "Today ....." When the cache has been active for the best part of 2 years. Maybe he's seen "the light" and wants us all to experience the new found joy that is CfGA. Seems a familiar ruse to me. But sure beats the "come in for a personality test" method of yore.
  10. Oh Dear, I should know this having visited this most wonderful of places some years back...but have my doubts as to my answer. Jewish, Arab, Christian and Greek (?).
  11. It's a church with a micro. Isn't that the point. I wouldn't pray for something more.
  12. Thats a great hide. I'd update the attributes to show it's not a 24/7 cache.
  13. Why don't you hold an event in their village pub. That'll make these small minded fools somewhat jittery I'd suspect. God forbid if a non Anglo-Saxon should turn up.
  14. Not as indepth as londontavern's way but,I use a basic Android app - "Offline Dictionaries" This allows multiple languages, but I only use it for hints. It has helped in the past but is just a word here and there. Not whole texts.
  15. That's a great idea. a caching logbook hidden amongst the Mills & Boons. A good way for cachers to actually hunt for their smiley. Fave point already awarded from me.
  16. could this thread be turn the other way up so we see new things at the top ? Good luck with that one.
  17. If you go to Peterborough, close your eyes tight, very tight, and head West, once you reopen your eyes, your sure to be just yards from a cache.
  18. Maybe worth a try. www.airbnb.co.uk I used it for a cheap place in Paris once.
  19. I can see the netbook idea as a possibility for some. But only so one can multi log with GSAK. Field Notes and GC.com is still too time consuming. And only as GSAK only works on Windows. GDAK is 1 step too many. Just an idea. And cheap too.
  20. Currently states Shipping: Available In-Store Only
  21. I am probably wrong, as I usually am. But wasn't Alice the name of the song sung by Smokie? And thus I guess it was released in 1977. Well around then anyway. But the Brazil part has me even more perplexed. Was Brazil, the film, released in 1977? I doubt that very much as too early I'd say. Oh well.
