  1. I feel this thread has run it's course. OP has issues. Others don't. Some agree. Some don't. Hey! Lets close 90% of the UK threads then.
  2. I thought I'd have a look at what's on offer here. Nothing for 7 months. Do the UK not produce many coins then?
  3. If I lived nearby I'd happily go for a Badger walk. I'd thanks the CO for letting me in on the possible dog situation. I thank the QC's for their valuable opinion on the series. And since the OP is hardly an experienced cacher I wouldn't have taken much notice on his/her negativity. I may be inexperience myself, but I say as I see.
  4. From a personal point of view, (but aren't they all), I would ignore any multi that would take longer than 10 minutes to complete. Anything more than 1 extra stage from a TRAD cache and I'd not bother. But that's just me. If cacher A wants to place a 20 stage multi, there will always be a cacher B to go look for it. I expect a caching status quo on multis as they currently stand.
  5. The GEOLYMPIX event has so, so, so much potential. BUT. But SIMPLE Paul really does take 1 step forwards and 2 back at every opportunity. I have witnessed over the last few months lots of desperation, mess ups and advertisements by Mr SP. And yet the other would-be Mega hosts have hidden in the shadows. For me these other hosts are respected and prolific English cachers whom I respect totally. Best of luck. You need it. I post here rather than the actual cache page to do you and the event a favour. I suggest the others involved take a step back and ask some very serious questions.
  6. Reviewers are possibly our future friends. However it seems the Mods live on the dark side.
  7. I'm game on. But by ex-army do you mean other peoples sweaty feet have had the privilege?
  8. Somewhat off topic. Well nearly. If some greedy campsite owner/manager asked me to pay them so my friends could come and visit I would be venting my anger in their direction. And if top management told me that I could only hold an event if I abided by their rules. Well then I'd abide by their rules. I might grumble. But then I like to grumble. In fact we British like to grumble too. Sorry to intervene. Now you can get back to your serious discussion.
  9. Reviews are what they are. I find I get a general idea of any product quite quickly and accurately. It's then your choice whether to regard or disregard other's opinions. You may even do so after reading the responses on this thread. I'm sure you'll make the right decision.
  10. Five Reasons to take a bear Geocaching? Easy! To eat those annoyingly tedious hamsters that gc.com think are hilarious.
