I don't see any need for a mirror in Europe, it wouldn't make much difference in response times for those Europeans (me included) who are using a properly configured network, so from my point of view it would be money wasted for no benefit. Actually I guess the main reason of this speed issue is the peering politic of the Deutsche Telekom AG. For us Germans → http://www.heise.de/netze/artikel/Tier-1-bis-3-223802.html Even the Seattle Carrier hasn't a peering agreement with DTAG, Groundspeak has possibilities to help. I disagree that a mirror Server wouldn't help. I guess placing a mirror server in Ireland would be fine. Peering between DTAG and Carrier in Ireland shouldn't be an issue. But even just placing a Web server somewhere in Europe which forward the request to Seattle application server / DB server would probably help. The only question is if this is affordable and will provide any economical benefit :-) Any comment from Groundspeak to this?
