  1. ...and while your there have a look at the Gold Rush. The Bronze. "Why is it so quiet in here?"
  2. You have been out of the loop for a while. Bronze.
  3. Good - Stay right there. I'll go get my whip! Bronze.
  4. Quote: Lactodorum Look like it wasn't that gentle and time has told it. - I don't know you both but it looks like you have a strong and loyal following, even if it may not lie with the other approvers / moderators. I think there is some good advice above - get back to caching and forever be remembered as doing you bit to make it that little better. The Bronze.
  5. Now that wasn't so hard. Shame we lost some great cachers and caches over it all. A blimp on the radar to what some other countries have lost recently. The middle ground has been sought - enough is enough. Lets spit and shake on it. Bronze.
  6. Now that is just wrong. I think you need an attitude adjustment. Your country gets hit and you think the third world was jumping up and down with glee. Uh, Hello Check please! Do you think they read about 9/11 on their ADSL, perhaps it was on the flat screen in the den or the paper dropped on the door each day. That is a terrible thing to say that America is such the Martyr to be helping the people that bombed them. I think you need to go back to junior college geography and get your facts straight before you prove what ignorant Aussies are assuming about your population. "It is better to keep your mouth shut and hide your stupidity than to open it and remove all doubt." ..many of whom. <---- with comments like that it is no wonder. Bronze.
  7. What do you manufacture Runaround? - sneekers with a swoosh. Sorry, couldn't help myself.
  8. This is the cache page: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...a7-48bf6904ea98 Bronze. Unfortuately we didn't get the $15,000 but hey, the night is still young.
  9. I have no problems with TPTB changing the weekly cache notification to ask for donations to Tsunami relief Finally it gets through- That huge list you provided - it needs to be linked to by Geocaching.com "Are you a geocacher - do you want to donate to the Tsunami Disaster then click here-----> Now onto the caches for your area..." Thats all that is needed. Now finally we agree can we all go caching. Bronze. PS: by the way, who has the stalker name?
  10. There's a big list of them here Yeah - Good on ya Sax. How about you give us a link that works. At least Piggy's thread worked until the US administration shut it down. Bronze
  11. I would like to withdraw my comments about America and their continued search for Oil in other countries. It's not relevant and productive. I would like to second Toolkits thoughs and say seperation from Geocaching.com is unproductive and not what I would like to see. I can see no good coming from this thread really. What i would like see happen is the general acceptance of Geocaching to not support threads like Piggies but actually allow a collective link like Yahoo and Google for Geocachers to donate to the Tsunami Victims. Since I spend %80 of my net time at Geocaching and related forums then it is a great opportunity to donate via geocaching. All countries are doing a great job in Asia. Apart from the death and destruction the good will shown by Western Nations may even bring about more peace. I don't think Aussies bagging the Yanks are going to do any good. By the way - your called Yanks for a reason you know . Bronze.
  12. If your reading this and going what the... Here's the link: http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopic.p...der=asc&start=0 Australian Geocaching is pissed because GC.com has canned a highly successful cache aimed at raising money for Tsunami Victims. As Geocaching.com does not want to support any single charities then it has been archived. Follow the thread and see for yourself. Personally I am not anti-Americian and can see the arguement from both sides but... (1) The double standards are blatant. (2) It is personal choice how much and to who people donate money to. (3) It is not about smilies - there is nothing to smile about. (4) This one was bagging America but I have edited it because it's not the purpose of my post. We are partners but I am dissappointed, as are many Australian (and Kiwi's) about the GC.com action to archive with out clarification. If Yahoo (http://store.yahoo.com/redcross-donate/) and Google (http://www.google.com/tsunami_relief.html) can post a links to donate to the tsunami relief then why is Geocaching so hard nosed on ethics but can help out a fellow human being through caching? I know where you can stick your premium membership. Bronze.
  13. I did this cache today. It was good fun and somthing different. Even though there only days apart the field sketches are quite different from each other. We have quite a few themed caches here in Red Ochre Country. Coins, housewares, proverbs, spheres and now sketches. Thanks to Mix76 for the day out. Bronze.

  18. Hello fellow forum foes! Just a ote to let you all know Dubbo and caching are now known to each other. Apart from a couple of diehard cachers there wasn't much here before I came to Dubbo in the way of Geocaching. I'm glad to report the two original teams Team '80' and Geo-nads with mine, Team Bronze have sparked new interest with the placement of many new, varied and exciting caches over the last three months. Welcome to the newest cachers to the region. Mixima and his team of Mrs and MiniMixima. Then there is Team Tojo working out his new GPSr and finally my neighbour Geo-Wes. So in total we have gone from three to six. Stay posted for an Event Cache title "The Beni Trophy Challenge." It will be a weekend of dedicated caching followed by a BBQ for all local and visiting cachers lunchtime Sunday. Bronze. Dubbo - Central Western NSW. thebronzemailbox@yahoo.com
  19. Hmmmm, Bugger. Let me know what the damage is. Feel free to replace it or I'll disable it for a while till I can get there and replace Noonans. Will be returning in a few weeks hopefully. Bronze. Dubbo - Central Western NSW. thebronzemailbox@yahoo.com
  20. A bank cheque from the commonwealth cost an extra $20 and more if over $500Au. The mail insurance with notification of reciept will start a $11 as well. A $5euro pin ended up costing me just under $50Au. Came from Germany and took a month and a half airmail via Ebay. I have sent your mate an Email HardUnits as I'm in the market for an eTrex. Cheers. Bronze. Dubbo - Central Western NSW. thebronzemailbox@yahoo.com
  21. Dan You have mail - no probs. Let me know. Bronze. Dubbo - Central Western NSW. thebronzemailbox@yahoo.com
  22. What's the retail on these? I'm sure I found eTrex's on Ebay for under two hundred some weeks back but now I can only find them around the 280 mark. I have no idea what a Geko would be worth either. Any suggestions anyone on how best to purchase either of these. US or Oz? City, Net or Dealer somewhere? Bronze. Dubbo - Central Western NSW. thebronzemailbox@yahoo.com
  23. Any suggestions for purchasing 6 durable / cheap GPSr units for a school to do Geocaching activities. What is the Geko101 like for price and userability etc. Any other suggestions for veteran cachers! Bronze. Dubbo - Central Western NSW. thebronzemailbox@yahoo.com
  24. I've got one of these. Hmmmm... well actually I have two . I carried both around New Zealand with me. The one were talking about I carried money in, instead of a wallet so if my wallet was pinched I'd still have money with me. Not sure where it is now - stuffed in a cupboard somewhere. Bronze.
