  1. That worked . . . not sure why. Thanks
  2. I am creating the page for my second Travel Bug. But the submission form does not have a field for uploading a picture to the page. But when I edit the page for my first TB, it does. Cruel trick? Am I missing something? Or system Glitch? Solution? (pleasew don'e make me use HTML!
  3. I have tried it both ways, clicking on the icon in the email, saving the doc to disk, and even choosing "open" while running easygps - alas, no luck! Easygps does work though when I search for caches and check the "download to easygps" box. Very strange.
  4. First, let me say that I am one of those people that are amazed by digital watches – this question may have been answered somewhere else . . . but either I could not find it, or I am too daft to comprehend it! So I got my first PDA for Christmas and I am tickled pink that I can use the pocket query to download the caches to it and thus save lots of scraps of paper! It works great on my PDA. I downloaded EasyGPS but when I try to open the LOC file (so I do not have to manually type in the coordinates to my GPSr) I get a rather cryptic message along the lines of: Unexpected error – contact EasyGPS.com/support for help So I did contact them for help . . . their response was one “word” : http://www.easygps.com/latest.asp I inferred from this that I should download the newer version of easyGPS. I did. Same problem. Can anyone help (and perhaps help me program my VCR too? )
  5. Does anyone know of any caches in Florida where 4x4s are allowed for cache seeking? I would love to get the Jeep a little dusty - but not at the price of upsetting the flora or fauna. Cheers!
  6. Using my Garmin EMap when flying is a blast! Everyone makes fun of me when I get off the plane, as I tend to have a blotch on my forehead from staring out the window! There has only been 1 occasion when I could not get a signal – for some reason there just weren’t any “birds” on my side of the plane. I have many a friend/ relative that are commercial and private pilots - they confirm that using a GPS on the plane is A-OK. Cheers!
  7. I am on my second Garmin Emap. On the first day I had my original one, I had removed it from the car mounting bracket and was placing it into the storage pocket on the car door to keep it out of sight while I was parked. It slipped out of my hand and fell no more than 8 inches into the storage pocket. When I turned it on again a vertical section one the display was “burnt out.” The store happily exchanged it for me and I immediately bought a $30 yellow rubber protective and shock resistant cover for the unit. I, of course, have not dropped the unit since. Cheers!
  8. I just used my name when I started. The wife and I were trying to think up a creative caching name- but before we knew it we had found about 20 caches and did not want to change mid stream. Cheers!
