  1. Under Internet Explorer 10, the find my location option for the search box on the homepage disappears. It was fine in IE9 and IE10 obviously hasn't lost geolocation support.
  2. But you can afford a smartphone and monthly service? Outside of North America, mobile plans are much better. Also, consider phones that were given as gifts or won in a contest - they don't need up front data plans to be used. Also consider carriers who offer you-only-pay-what-you-use data plans instead of a flat fee for so many MB/GB.
  3. Thank you Mount10Bike. One thread should give precision to this conversation.
  4. So at least we're hitting multiple times. Because I'd really like some clarifications on the situation.
  5. Sorry, I'm not here to start platform wars. Go somewhere else for that, there's plenty of that crap on other forums.
  6. This is news to me as well as I don't exactly use my iPod touch for geocaching. So essentially, I paid for a very expensive app, only now to be brought in line with the other platforms? Why not just make them equal from the get go?
  7. I just got an email stating that there will be a new Geocaching app? What? Why not just update the current with an overhaul? What's in it for those of us who paid $10 freakin dollars for this app!? From what I understand, if I choose to not go for a premium membership, I lose access to anything but traditional caches once the current app goes offline, as well as the logs of caches I'm searching for after the first 3 I look at in the month? Does this seem a little crazy or am I horribly misunderstanding something here?
  8. Running Mango on a Samsung Focus. 99% of quick searches fail with a non-descriptive error. However, I can see some results behind the loading screen that I can't get to! So for now, I find the cache on the website through IE, then search by GC code to get to the cache I want. Hoping a Mango-compatible release comes soon. I'm a new geocacher and I'm excited to really get started.
