  1. Just wanted to brag a little about the new Colorado geocoins. Thanks to the hard work of mrcogeo and others, I received my geocoins today... so look out world for a Colorado Geocoin coming to a cache near you. Here's a peak: 2005 Colorado Geocoins Thanks again mrcogeo for the great work!! COCajuns
  2. As a native Louisianian, I wanted to see if there were any geocachers in the New Orleans (more specifically Metairie) area that were interested in getting their travel bug/coin a little further north. I have some family coming to Colorado at the end of May and could arrange travel for the swag. In return I could send some TB's your way. I haven't heard anywhere if the cacher has to provide the traveling or not. If interested, e-mail me at sgagnard@gmail.com . The reason I mentioned Metairie, is that my mother lives in LaPlace, but works in Metairie and we could arrange drop-off/pick-up with her. Let me know, Scott COCajun
  3. My family and I my be interested. Let me know more as it approaches. COCajuns
  4. Hello Geocaching Friends, I'm looking for a Geocaching member that lives near Nantes France. My family and I would like to release a US Geocoin and/or a travel bug in or near Nantes. My last name is Gagnard, formerly Gaignard and my 6th generation grandfather came to the US in the 1760's from Nantes. We would like to release the coin or travel bug here to travel around Europe. Please contact me at sgagnard@gmail.com if you would be interested in maybe trading country items. Thanks, Scott
  5. Jeremy, My family and I are planning on going out this weekend. If you would like to tag along, e-mail me at sgagnard@yahoo.com and we'll setup something. Scott
  6. Thanks guys, that did it. I was leaving the # sign and replacing the coordinates with mine... duh. Scott
  7. How do I set my home coordinates in GSAK in the N 38 52.610 W104 41.995 format (same format used on geocaching.com)? Since most of the people here are using that site, wouldn't be better if the default/sample home coordinates in GSAK were set to this format as an example? It would make it easier to just change them to our coordinates. Thanks in advance for any and all help! Scott
  8. Hi John, My family and I purchased the Etrex Vista when we got started and could not be happier. I know Garmin has come out with the new color model, but we have the non-color version. These units have WAAS so they are really accurate. Most of the time, we get withing feet of the caches. You will not be dissapointed with this unit. Let me know if you have any questions. Scott
