  1. This is not acceptable I had plans for today
  2. Thanks for all of your replies everyone. I prefer to use my Garmin and just wanted to use the iphone for downloading caches when i'm travelling. But the iphone has such a short battery life and it isn't waterproof. So I've bought a waterproof case and extra battery - problem solved.
  3. Would I be able to do it with a cable from the iphone to the garmin?
  4. I doubt it, but we really can't tell you for sure unless we know what type of GPS you have.
  5. Hi I have the geocaching mobile app on my iphone. It's great for finding caches where ever I am located. Obviously I prefer to use my handheld GPS for geocaching. Can I transfer searches from my iphone to my GPS using wireless? It would be good if I could.
  6. I have a fab handheld GPS which is much better for Geocaching than my iphone. The iphone is good because I can search for geocaches where ever I am. I would like to be able to send my searches from my iphone to my GPS uusing wireless. Is this possible? If yes how do I do this?
  7. Oh yes another good one. I loved this one too.
  8. Yes I'm with you on this one. I loved this cache.
  9. I've done four of your last six finds. Three are "Why put a cache there?" The fourth I enjoyed, as it involved a walk along the canal. (Seems around your area I'm 3-4 months ahead of you finding the caches! Old home turf ) Yes the one along the canal was a nice walk. Another, in a churchyard, was also nice.
  10. How appropriate this thread is considering that I am contemplating paying my subscription to geocaching.com. I agree with all of the above. And yes I too feel that geocaching just isn't the same. But that's what happens isn't it as you get older (GOG). I got fed up of hunting for a cache, in amongst piles of dog sh*t and/or litter, wondering whatever possessed someone to place a cache here. Anyway after a break I've returned to do 6 local caches without even getting out of my car (almost). I didn't enjoy it. So what to do? Give up or pay the membership so I can PQ only the caches that I want to do. Thanks for the advice guys - decision made
  11. Congratulations on your first cache. I know the cache that you did today very well. I did it just as it was going dark and I found it t be quite scary. Anyway good luck for tomorrow. I hope that you have a fruitful day.
  12. I doubt that it will fit for the physical recreation section
  13. I think that it would be possible to use Geocaching for the Award but not the physical recreation section. I think that the Interest section would be more appropriate.
  14. Thank you for your reply...that's what I thought
  15. Hi Does anyone know whether the map of the UK (in green) showing caches found (in red) still exists? If yes where is it?
  16. It sounds a little bit like the Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club!
  17. Yeah I did a few in the rain yesterday. It wasn't as bad as the day before though.
  18. My birthday's on 24th January. I can come along if there's no one else who's birthday is on 24th.
  19. Thanks a lot for your help. The cache is now live again. Leaving it free for someone to go and get that TB and log a cahe too. That saves me a very long journey.
