  1. Thanks for the suggestions. I will try all these out this summer. And try the PQ feature to see what else I can find. Thanks, K-

  3. Hi All Colorado Cachers. I am looking for some fun places where I can go camping this summer with my family and find some fun caches in the area. We have a 1 year old girl and we have another one on the way, and most likely a dog in tow too. So we are relegated to 'car camping' for the foreseable future. I have a typical SUV so I don't mind, and kind of enjoy, some moderate 4x4 roads. I would like to keep it within a few hour drive of Denver, where I am based. Our typical camping will be to leave Denver on Saturday morning, drive to site, setup camp, hike, sleep, hike, and head home Sunday afternoon. I am looking for some fun places to go where we can hike right from the camp site to trails with caches along them, or drive a short distance from site to start of trail head. Or I guess even having the camp site as the destination with the caches as small detours on the route along the way. Normally we don't mind several mile and several hour hikes, but this year I will have a kid in a pack on my back and I don't know how my wife will will feel about longer hikes this summer. So shorter hikes may be preferable but let me know about longer ones too for the future. And if you don't know about camping spots, but know some great local Denver area hikes with caches along the way, I would love to know of them too. Thanks for all the help, K-
