  1. Hey everyone who is folling our journey! I'm sorry that I have not had a chance to post, we have been and stayed in low reception areas. To keep things going here is a picture of the landscapes we are riding through.
  2. @colleda that was my thoughts. Hopefully it will stay here. After an awesome nights sleep it's looking like it might be a bit of a bleak day, but we must push onto Eden, our second stop. We found a few caches last night in Ulladulla and learnt some awesome things. If anyone is ever in the area I highly recommend you check out this cache by Gill & Tony, Let's do the time walk again - GC4X07R. This mornings statistics: Temp: 11°C Wind: 6 km/h Humidity: 80% Outlook: pretty God danm bleak... And partly cloudy.
  3. @K13 good idea. I thought here would be ok cause it relates to the road trip adventure that Groundspeak is running and didn't want to limit the audience to those only/interested in Australia. So we have just arrived in Ulladulla. Ready to do some caching. If anyone is interested in joining, message me and we'll meet up
  4. This is our second stop. We stoped at a small burger shop on the beach at North Wollongong. This was also the stop for our first geocaching. GCZ5RM Will update soon with find status. Edit: unfortunately we did not find this one due to certain conditions.
  5. I would love to do a meet up. I have just emailed you. We'll be down there tonight as this is our first stop for the trip. If anyone is interested in following our progress your welcome to follow this trackable. http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=6303755

  7. Ahoy there! So, tomorrow my father and I set out on our massive geocaching adventure. We will be traveling (off the top of my head) 1000km (621miles) from Cronulla in the Sutherland shire NSW to Eden and back through Queanbeyan, Canberra then back to Sydney. I'm wondering would anyone be interested in seeing our progress in the form of photos and a video at the end? I'll also post a map of our trip once I get home. If anyone is interested in seeing how our trip goes let me know. Regards, StaticVar -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- So I'll start editing my post here as well so people don't have to scroll through everything to find the trip. 8. Awesome thank you so much for your replies guys I appreciate the feedback I will change my strategy
  9. Inside business = presumed to be commercial Not likely to fly. I would suggest finding spot outside the business, but perhaps nearby. Awesome! Thank you for your prompt reply
  10. Ahoy hoy! Sorry to sound like a bit of a noob when it comes to this. So, my question is this. I have large shopping centre in my area that lots of people frequent, but there are no geocaches in the immediate area. So I thought it would be a good idea to use the centre as a mystery cache. Now my main point here is I have permission from a store owner in the centre to place a very large geocache in his store. However it has no commercial intention what so ever but they will have to obviously interact with the staff to get the cache. Is this against the placing guidelines as I feel it's boarder line against them.id just like a bit of clarification. Also please forgive any typos or mistakes as I'm doing this on my iPad on the way to work. Thanks for your time.
  11. Hi there agian! Is it possible to get any of these apps through the website cause i don't have a credit card Thanks heaps! The Meridian
  12. Wonderful! Thankyou for all your replys guys! Much appreciated!
  13. Hi everyone ! I have had an iPhone 4 for quite some time now and love the geocaching app. Recently I acquired a Samsung Galaxy S II phone and would like to place the Geocaching app onto it. Do i have to repurchase it as I have previously purchased the $10 app on the iPhone? Regards, The Meridian
  14. Some one once asked me why my GeoGF and I were rolling around in the dirt like two dogs... I said nothing... He walked away... Lol but yeh the clue was to lay down and roll over or something and it was under a bin..
  15. Hey guys, I did seem to figure out my issue but had to test it was actually fixed first. Before i get into how i did fix it, where abouts did you see the 3Gs phone for $49, is it reliable? Cause I'm really looking at upstanding. I was tethering my Wi-Fi on my phone, i didn't think of using the Bluetooth device through. Good suggestion, thanks. I will admit that the Tethering doesn't give me the true location but its very close, so it does make it harder, just all the more fun hehe. The issue seemed to be more so related to the iPod not forgetting the network location of where i last used it. When i got home from up north i hooked it into my Home wireless network and tested to see if it was fixed. Started moving around was actually working quite well. So if anyone else has this issue, reconnect to a different network restart the ipod, connect to your tethered phone and it will work fine. Thanks for the help guys Regards, m0dii
  16. Hey, Thanks for the replys. What I essentially was saying is that I use my mobile phone as a wireless network so that I can use the Internet on my iPod. In unfortunately I do bot own an iPhone. I appoligise that I put iPhone in the title, was curious to see if anyone else was experiencing the issue. I have double checked my location settings and they are all on tried turning them off restatting the iPod then turning them back on. Still no luck. Also tried downloading over applications with locate me analogies, such as google earth. Still no luck. My firmware version is 4.2.1, so you can tell I haven't updated recently lol. I'm pretty sir o have a iPod 3rd gen might be a 2nd gen but it's the thin one before the iPod with the camera. I'm thinking about restoring my iPod to make this work if I have to. But that is more so a last resort kinda thing. Thanks for the help everyone I really appreciate it!! Kind regards m0dii
  17. Hi everyone, New to the community as I'm sure you can see Recently purchased the app after hearing about his game from a friend of mine. Anyway my gps signal does not seem to update correctly. It seems to leave me at my place of work. Please note that I do use an iPod touch an have tethered my phone so that I'm a le to get a Internet connection. The app has worked in the past (before the update came out), I hav traveled quite some distance and it still doesn't seem to be updating, I have tried other apps and they don't work, nor does google maps in safari. So assuming it's something wrong with my iPod. I have tried erasing network settings and have tried clearing all location data with no joy. If anyone has any kind of suggestion or has experienced this problem begore regardless if they have fixed it or not, please let me know. Kind regards, m0dii Ps forgive my spelling as I'm doing this only iPod a d I'm not very used to it lol.
