I'm visiting the US from the UK this summer, driving down from San Francisco to Las Vegas via Yosemite and Death Valley. Besides hoping to find some caches on the way I'd like to visit 'interesting' places such as 'the worlds largest ball of string' type thing, 'best roadside diner' or even 'alleged UFO landing sites'!!. The more bizarre the better! Does anyone have any such waypoints they'd like to share? Also, where can I obtain waypoints for towns that I'm going to be staying in along the way (e.g. Baker, Lone Pine, Stovepipe Wells, etc.)? We could use a map but it'll be far more interesting trying to find our way just by GPS Any help of info gratefully received

Having lived in Blackpool for 20 years I know the area pretty well, but there's no way I could find the cache from your description. Do you know any road names near the cache?

I'm visiting the US from the UK this summer and hope to do some cache finding whilst over there. My question is......how do I find co-ords of caches that I'm likely to be travelling near? I know the town names (e.g. Baker, Lone Pine, etc.) that I'll be passing thru' but I can't find anywhere on the 'seek a cache' form for inputting just a town name. Do I need to enter the zip code for these places? and if so how do i find out the codes for the above towns? Any help will be v gratefully received Ta!
