  1. Solved it. So thanks for all the help.
  2. Help!!!! The first cache I did was archived and I dropped the Geocoin into it. Now I can't figure out how to get it back out, as there doesn't appear to be a retrieval option. What do I do.
  3. Probably a simple answer, but... We just started caching this year and have found/logged 24 thus far with a goal for 50 by the end of 2006. I have just ordered a number of Travel Bugs for us and the three kids so that we can each track our cache mileage. While I've done all the caches, the kids have participated in a differing number between them. Is it possible to log a TB into a cache that has already been found in order to log mileage. I don't see any buttons on the cache page to log the TB. Help is always appreciated. Cheers, Caluja Clan
  4. Being relatively new to Geocaching, may I ask what the turnoff is to benchmarks?
  5. Does anyone know if there is a central database that list known locations of Geodetic disks in Canada. We were doing a cache recently that had these two type of disks. 1) Geodetic Service of Canada BM No. 18G, and 2) Water Survey of Canada 791. I found the government site for the Geodetic Service of Canada, but haven't been able to locate a database. Or are these things that the government places, but doesn't track? Thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Caluja Clan.
  6. I've posted on the France board as well, but thought I would see if anyone in Canada has done any caching in France. My wife and I will be spending 10 glorious days touring Paris with a couple of side trips planned. We would like to incorporate Geocaching into our trip. We are coming prepared with our GPS, a couple of TBs and a couple of Canada GeoCoins. Here are my questions, 1) What mapping software is used in France that would give detail on highways, roads, streams/rivers, etc? For Canada I have a very detailed topographical map application from Garmin and was wondering if there are similar maps for France that would be compatible with our GPS (eTrex Legend). 2) Our first sidetrip is a trip Notrh-East up to Vimy Ridge (near Amiens, I believe) to visit the memorial followed by a driving trip to Rouen and Mont St. Michel, then back into Paris from the west. 3) Our next sidetrip is the bullet train to Lyon and then a drive into Loire valley I believe. Our friends want to go to Cote de Rhone. Any assistance through the forum would be great. I'm also open to exchanging email for further, more detailed contact. My writing in French is limited, but I do have access to a translation program. While I'm not bi-lingual, I can get by with some concentration. Kind Regards, Caluja Clan
