Expect the unexpected while riding, dangers lurk around every corner! 1) When I do go out, I plan on going to a few places...name the two most important stops. To the store to buy some batteries, to the power company to drop off a check 2) What makes these stops important? Too cold for no power Batteries because the Delorme is starving and GPSr's eat alot 3) I am a happy person, why is this?? You are going for a bike ride 4) I figured out something the other day, what was this?? Too much nyquil and figuring out how to download those arial maps just doens't go together well.....YES! 5) As an outcome of figuring this out, what did I do? Stopped taking the nyquil and then tried to figure out what you screwed up on the delorme and how to fix it....Close enough....I realized I hadn't screwed it up at all, just omitted a crucial step!!

I've always been a premium member myself, however I have never limted caches to "members only". The more people that go and find my caches the happier I feel, and as Roddy posted above not everyone can afford to shell out the 30.00 for a membership. If people can't afford to pay for a membership then I am certainly not going to "punish" them for it. As a matter of fact our membership came up for renewal a just a few weeks back and we really had to scrounge to come up with the money and was wondering if we would even be able to do it. After being a member since 2005 I might be a little bit upset that I couldn't do "members only" caches in my area, but hey thats everyones own choice.

WINNER! Well done Team CeDo! Post #53 This is one cache that I have on my "Challenge List". I'm a little claustophobic. Just. I had the opportunity to do it some months ago, but the device was not working then, so I decline.... But I do mean to go back. Yes, it is two days drive away from home. Yes, It requires either a ferry to the south Island, or a plane trip. Yes, I cannot travel that distance for only one cache. What I liked about your post was that you added some research about our Rugby League team. You found out a bit more about New Zealand. Well done, send me your mailing address, and I'll get the coin off to you. Allow two weeks for the snail.... unless you wish to activate it, and have me drop it into a cache to take even longer. recent mailings abroad have taken only 8 t0 9 days. WELL DONE to EVERYONE! Thank you all for participating! Wow Thank You so much!! I have always been interested in rugby, It looks like a very Tough sport. There were so many geocaches in New Zealand that I would LOVE to do!!! New Zealand is now on my list of places to visit!!!! Thank you for showing me a small bit of what your country has to offer!!

GCY3GR-Under The Goal Post (West Coast) I choose this Geocache for its adventure and slight spookiness, as well as the fact that rugby has always interested me. The cache is located somewhere UNDER the goal posts of the Blackball Rugby Field. The cache is rated a 4/4. Partialy due to the fact that it is underground. The owner has placed certain types of electronics in the first two stages of the cache that you must bring together to find the final.Sounds like FUN! The New Zealand national rugby league side represent New Zealand at rugby league, and are commonly known as the Kiwis, after the native bird of that name. They are administered by the New Zealand Rugby League. On October 22, 2008, The Kiwis defeated Australia to win their first Rugby League World Cup and will hold the title of World Champions until at least the 2013 Rugby League World Cup. This Geocache is located in South Island, New Zealand. The owner recomends bring two torches with you, one for a back-up incase the first goes out, as well as some good rubber soled shoes.

GC1M6ER-Sounds like you're being Koi (Nelson/Marlborough) There are three reasons I would love to do this cache. First being that it is an underwater scuba diving cache, Second I love to scuba dive, Third if you or I were to complete this cache we would get the first to find! Due to the fact that its underwater it is rated a 5/5. This cache is located in South Island, New Zealand. As I mentioned before it is underwater about 12 meters deep. The geocache is located near the wreckage of a steemer ship named The Koi. The Koi was built in Scotland in 1906, it was a twin screw steamer of 53 net register tons and shipped to New Zealand in sections, where she was assembled and launched the same year. She was used as a passengers ferry in and around the Motueka area and was re-floated and lengthened by another 4 meters after being swamped at the entrance to Nelson Harbour in 1910. In 1930 she was converted to a coal hulk and as such sank at her moorings in Picton on the 10th of March 1940, after which she was eventually scuttled on the 5th of May 1940. This is a picture of the Koi. Here are some pictures of the Koi's final resting place, as well as the area that the Goecache is located.

GC1877D-The HenderWitch Project (Auckland) I choose this cache because I have always been interested in reading about the history of very old areas and what happend there a long time ago. I love reading scary stories and seeing scary movies. This are has quite a history as you will learn about as you read this. This is a 4/4 cache partly due to the fact that it is a puzzle cache. I'm not so sure that this cache is based on a true story, but it was very interesting to read and is one I most certainly would go do. The cache is located in North Island, New Zealand. In 1787, in the New Zealand township of Kiwiville, a woman named Alice Headwrong was accused of luring children into her home to draw blood from them. The town found her guilty of witchcraft and banished her during a particularly harsh winter. A year later, all her accusers and half the children of the town vanished. Fears of a curse gripped the townspeople, and they abandoned KiwiVille. Thirty-eight years later, Henderson was founded on the former site of KiwiVille. In 1825, eleven eye witnesses claimed a pale woman's hand dragged a little girl into a creek. "For thirteen days after the drowning, the creek is clogged with oily bundles of sticks." In 1886, an eight year old was reported missing. Search parties were dispatched, one did not come back. Their bodies were found in Devil's Peak, tied and disemboweled. Beginning in 1950, seven children were abducted near Henderson over the course of seven months. In May of 1951, an old hermit publicly proclaimed that he was "finally finished." Henderson Police investigated his secluded home in the woods, where they found the bodies of the seven children ritualistically murdered and disemboweled. The hermit confessed to the atrocity and claimed that he did it for an "old woman ghost" who lived in the woods. In 2007, three university students doing a project on Geocaching ventured to the town to interview the locals. They vanished at the site of Devil's Peak, and 1 year later, their GPS units and some scribbles on paper were recovered.

Driving distracted reduces your chances of seeing a problem, PAY ATTENTION!! 1) I received something in my email box this morning, what was it? A bill 2) Who sent me the email? Comcast cable company 3) What (if anything) does it have to do with Todie's Wild Ride?? The cable company also handles your internet, so paying that bill allows you to get on-line to monitor Todie's Wild Ride.

Adult themed caches - is this OK?
Team CeDo replied to RedRazorNick's topic in General geocaching topics
On this point, I whole heartedly agree. I would take a 15 y/o friend along to do the agility portion of a cache if I thought my aging old body wouldn't manage the hardest parts. So, as to other suggestions, my take would be that a coupon, or a gift card for the liquor, would be a suitable substitution. That takes the ultimate liability off you as the giver, and puts it directly on whomever redeems the coupon. The coupon is an excellent idea! I didn't even think of that, also many liquor stores sell gift cards as well and then you ensure that the person using it is of legal drinking age or if they are not maybe the under age person could use the gift card for something non-alcoholic in the same store.
