Well, just back from our day of Geocaching. We managed to do 11 today certainly less than we set out to do, HOWEVER those 11 brought us to the 1,100th mark!! YEAH!!

Something seems fishy, VERY VERY fishy with this coin logging issue.........

If a person has the actual coin , they can post it as a discovery if it hasn't been activated.It happened to one of the Cachin' Crow coins. You enter the number on the coin, just like any other discovery, or retrieving. In this case, I think that's what Mrs. BexyBear did. The problem is getting The Public Tracking Number to find that coin's page. Opalsns But in this case Mrs. BexyBear grabbed the coin using the private tracking number and the wap.geocaching.com interface...the coin resides in her inventory, and because it isn't activated, her MyAccount page crashes. However, her MyProfile page displays OK. I'm starting to think the error message is a fake and some info is hidden in it somehow

I havn't received info for the coin I won yesterday in the guess the number of coins and weight post. Its only been one day so I wasn't expecting it yet, But since you asked...

We've been out on a few caches and had a member of the local law enforcement walk up to us and ask what we were up to. After explaining for about a half hour or so what geocaching was he proceeded to follow us to a few more caches and do them with us! Was fun and the LEO was very cool and actually found one by himself with our GPSr. Just be honest and don't act nervous, after all you more than likely aren't doing anything wrong. This was in the Ocala, Florida area. All that I kept thinking is how many geocaches is this guy going to be doing instead of looking for criminals...... LOL

I am begening to become cross eyed over stage three!!! I REALLY want to figure out how that coin got grabbed but not activated! Does this mean another player could activate it again?

It used to be that Garmin was the only company that could download the cache straight to the unit from the cache page...not anymore!! As of today, DeLorme owners can now do this as well!!!! I think we're coming closer to the promised goodies DeLorme has been working on!! Downladed my first cache straight from the page, the description is even different, looks much like the cache page does!! Gotta love that! Thank you that was fun!!! I tell you what delorme has just about won me over as my next GPSr!
