  1. Isn't 92 partially hidden behind 28? I also clearly see 90 and 91 in both the bar chart and compass display. I'm obviously missing something here, so any clarification is appreciated.
  2. Because "they are going to retrieve on the return trip but forgot it." The body of dog owners must include some of the most forgetful people. LOL
  3. I don’t read OP’s initial post to mean the issue has been resolved.
  4. This is very clever by the CO and is something I've never seen before. I checked out some of the mystery caches to discover they are not the "token" puzzles often used in geoart, rather they are interesting and varied puzzles. I found #14 (GC844ZX) to be particularly delightful.
  5. Did you do what Keystone advised in the 4th message above yours? If not, you should. If you did and still have problems you need to provide more details. (In case you don’t follow the forums, the upgrade is free.)
  6. I'm not sure why someone would post a dead link. The Garmin manual is here. (http://static.garmin.com/pumac/eTrex_10-20-30_OM_EN.pdf) Pages 21& 22 tell you where to go to set filters. I hope this helps as I'm a little confused about what and where you are deleting files.
  7. With a pocket query you get a zip file that holds two files, one contains up to 1000 caches and the other contains the associated waypoints. All you do is copy the gpx containing the 1000 files to the gps. What could be faster than not copying one file? Even if you copy both files, all the waypoints are stored in a single GPX file so they aren't cluttering your gps. (I hope you are not downloading individual files from the PQ preview list.)
  8. How is stating a fact casting aspersions? It wouldn't be the first time the web site wasn't able to find a user.
  9. I believe you are an hour late. ?
  10. Simple solution is to create two routes. I suspect this happens so rarely and has such minor impact that it at the bottom of the priority list.
  11. Wh What happens if you "navigate" to a traditional between the two multis? By navigate I mean select a traditional cache, then immediately quit out of that hunt,
  12. I would combine 7 & 8 as being essentially the same. In the void created I would add Feeling you have to find every cache.
  13. While true, this seems quite silly for mystery caches. It is the final, physical location that may violate the saturation guidelines if moved. Also the final must remain within 2 miles of the posted, fictional coordinates. Perhaps guidelines for moving a mystery cache should be added?
  14. Better than downloading your finds and sending them to the GPS is to use a Pocket Query where you select the option of "Caches you haven't found" located in the "That" box on the Pocket Query creation form. If you still want to load your found caches, most modern operating systems deal with .zip files directly. Open the zip file, select all entries, copy the contents to GPS/garmin/gpx directory or folder.
  15. Any chance you are out of favorite points, or as mentioned in the last couple of posts, have you already awarded a point to the cache you tested?
  16. At last something useful in this thread. Great tip. Thank you!!
  17. One would use a gate to go through a fence and a stile to go over it. If neither is provided, perhaps one shouldn't enter the area.
  18. Since some posters like to reply without actually supplying anything useful, you can read all about KML files here. Looks like it should be simple to use the existing data to do what you want. Good luck!
  19. Have you taken it outside where there is a clear view of the sky and let it sit for an hour or two? Note that a window is not outside; perhaps a nice open park is available nearby. I suspect it might not work but you haven’t told us that you tried it so it’s worth a shot.
  20. Since you have to be in the field to get the coordinates for your caches, simply start navigating to the nearest existing cache. It will tell you how far you are from the nearby cache just as it would if you were actually trying to find it. As you move to each of you locations you will instantly know if you are clear of traditional caches. Good luck and don’t give up on your idea.
