  1. Is this your post or an uncredited HQ post?
  2. Maybe if you actually asked a question you would get some help. What part of the multi cache is giving you a problem, looking in the field, or finding one to solve?
  3. Not the best idea because CG numbers are unique whereas names can be, and often are, duplicated.
  4. Rather than search for a list that likely doesn’t exist ask your reviewer if you can implement your idea. They will give you appropriate feedback for your location. Despite the “company line” things are not universally interpreted the same.
  5. Use a different map? It appears the map you are using is cluttered with too many unneeded details like buildings.
  6. It might be more useful to tell the land manager what sort of foot traffic they can expect at the proposed cache. Doing a little research on recently placed caches in the area and adding some for DNFs should be a good source for the estimate. Citing 5,000 cachers in the region is not as meaningful as stating the cache could get up 10 visitors the first month but that will quickly taper off to one or two visits a month. (Numbers used in my post are hypothetical examples.)
  7. Thanks for the peek through the developer’s door!
  8. Wow. Didn’t take long for you to answer that. I guess that answer wasn’t on your website. Questions asked and answered here can lead to discussion, you know, kind of like a discussion group.
  9. It’s too bad specific questions can’t be answered where they were asked, rather than using the forums as a portal to your website.
  10. An activity thread is the only way I access the forums and I haven’t noticed any recent delays.
  11. I would add the suggestion to restart the GPS between the deletions and adding new ones. This will help keep the internal index straight. DELETE FILES REBOOT GP ADD FILES
  12. That's interesting. Since a physical item has been placed how can it be considered a virtual stage?
  13. The cache owners don’t care that your logs are possible spoilers because you post pictures of the caches?
  14. Disagree. Not all caches are going to be liked by any given user. You are free to choose which caches you want to try to find. (I thought your shift key was broken but see you managed to find it 4 times. Using it improves readability and quality of the post.)
  15. Maybe the person you’ll be climbing with will have a spare rope
  16. Sounds fun. No need to mention either your book name or the character's book name in the online cache. Neither one would either add or detract to the fun of the cache, so go ahead a make your fun caches. No reason to include the book in any manner. Note that the contents of the physical cache can include anything you want in regards to your books or characters.
  17. Your understanding is correct and it is apparently a frequently use option. However there are three other options that could be used instead hiding a cache. And they may being utilized but the only one that we would be aware of is the hide.
  18. New York City has fewer than Des Moines and most of those are in Central Park. Does Iowa have a lot of interesting geological features that would make interesting caches? If so, it’s a wonderful opportunity for you to create some for the local cachers!
  19. I don't know what you mean by this. The only user created item I know that expires is a Pocket Query link to the results.
  20. i wonder why it was eliminated? I have visited several caches that I wished had that attribute.
