  1. The Altitude seemed off on my Legend by about 30 feet. I have easy access to sea level and wanted to set it to zero. In order to do this, I must turn off my GPS first. How does this help? When I set it to zero and turned it back on I was 80 ft below water! Is there something I'm missing in the instructions, or is it something you just don't try to fix? icon_rolleyes.gificon_confused.gif

I want to die like my grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car.

  3. The discussion a few days ago about mag vs true settings in your GPS caused someone to mention something that has me wondering. Does your speed readout alter depending if your GPS is set on Magnetic North vs. True North? For example... If my GPS is set on Magnetic North, and I drive down the road at 100 kph. Will it tell me the correct speed? And if I suddenly switch it to True North will it read the same speed and/or will it be correct as well? I know this seems like a stupid question as I'm sure it should not matter, but the spedometer in my car does not work properly and I dont want anymore speeding tickets. Thanks for any help.

  4. Someone mentioned that having you gps set to mag or true can affect the speed readout on the gps unit. That should not happen should it. Its all relative. Am I completely wrong on this?

  5. I will look into posting an article in th elocal paper. I'm going to Port Alberni in 2 weeks and will be able to hunt down a few when I get there.

    Thanks again for the help.

  6. I find it very time consuming to search through all the cache listings to find any nearby that I can hunt for. Is there anyway to determine if the cache is nearby without looking at the details page?
