  1. I think they are the new virtuals. But I don't know for sure.
  2. Anything about the location that you might want to include in the title? Or the hide itself?
  3. I've introduced many friends to geocaching over the years. Some have even taken up the game very seriously! Often times they think it's stupid and geeky at first, but after a find or two they love it.
  4. I want to stick to ones within 15 minutes of the city. I like cool, unusual, and creative hides and spots. I have already found FillerUp, which is definitely one of my favourites.
  5. I'm going to be in Pentiction for about 10 days. Are there any must-do caches? Thanks.
  6. Here is one we have found: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=13997876-28d3-494c-9aa9-65b567968bdc
  7. Any cache that is "beginner friendly" in my searches are highlighted in green. Maybe that's because I'm still at less than 100 finds?
  8. Exact same situation as I have. My 60CX works very good, but it's a hassle having to carry a GPS and the iPod around.
  9. Oh no. Well I guess GPScity made the descision for me.
  10. Actually it would be a bit less then that. I paid around 250 for the GPS and a bike mount. For the question of whether or not you should replace the 60CX, get the Dakota, at a price like that, why not. I'll have to try yours out first. 250$ is still $250, especially when your making 8.75$ an hour
  11. I currently have a 3 year old Garmin 60CX. It works pretty good, although it can have difficulties locking onto satellites sometimes. I couldn't help but notice that they were selling the Dakota 20 at GPSCity for $200. I like the fact that it has paperless caching, removing the need to take my iPod with me all the time. The Dakota 20 also seems to be getting great reviews. With overnight shipping and taxes, it would come to $250. So I ask you, is it worth replacing my functioning 60CX for the Dakota 20?
  12. Well I found it... You were the ground support... Ground support and goggle supplier!
  13. On our family account we have a cache disguised as an owl hidden in a tree. It is a local favourite and we always get asked about it by other cachers. However, two years ago when somebody went to retrieve the cache, they found it full of milk and a note saying "I took your milk money - but I shared". The cache was a mess and it took alot of cleaning out to get rid of the smell and mold. So I ask you, what is the worst vandalism someone has ever done to your cache or one you have seen? P.S: Here is the link to the cache page: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=0f44422c-c3b0-46ff-89ea-6f9141b9260c and here is the link to the log: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=db3d4d65-ec44-4104-a3c1-4f7d916493c5
  14. Found an underwater cache yesterday. 15 feet under!
  15. When saving a cache for offline use, you can chose to add street, topo, and satelite maps to also be saved.
