  1. Perhaps some clarification here would help. If you got to the Maps page from "View the Geocaching Map" link in the "Play" menu or from the "View larger Map" link on any cache listing page you'll get to the maps page with the collapsible panel on the left side of the page with the "Set Map Preferences" button. If, however, you use the new search engine and click on the "Map these Results" link, it passes in a parameter consisting of a long encoded string that causes the map to be displayed without that panel and no way to unhide it. I have no idea why GS is using that parameter to hide the panel when called from the Map these Results link but it eliminates one of the most useful features on the map page: the "Save as Pocket Query" link. I've asked why this was done but so far I haven't heard anything from GS explaining why they did it this way. Thanks.. I was sitting, staring at this new layout getting angry at the lack of google maps.

  3. No fair, google brought me here. WTF is a digital root of a color.
  4. I would love to see additional filter options on the 'Map' on the geocache.com website: Similar to the iPhone app advance search feature: If we could add: 1. Difficulty 2. Terrain 3. Favourite Points To the web map view, I feel it would greatly help with cache browsing. I am constantly browsing the maps online looking at future vacations and travel destinations and this feature would help to narrow in ideal caches. I realize this is available on pocket queries, but why make queries over and over as you browse different destinations when it can be added to the map filters.
  5. When I'm looking at geocaches on the maps, how can I filter by difficulty/terrain/favorites? Example: I'm planning a large trip, 1000's of KM. To browse the maps I start at the Geocahce main page: Play -> Hide and seek cache type in my postal code: Map this location Scroll out to the whole continent. When in this map mode, is it possible to filter? I know 'PQ's' have advanced filters, but I find them troublesome. I would just like to filter like similar to the advanced search on the Smart phone aps. Then simply browse around the country and adjust the filters as required.
  6. At the very least, give premium members Google maps back.
