  1. Im aggravated today because I saw a TB sticker on an SUV in the next lane over in traffic and I wanted to change lanes and catch up but nobody would let me in
  2. I agree it shouldn't be an issue of 'can they sue me' to which the answer is yes, but 'would a plaintiff have a case against me'. In my completely uneducated opinion I would think that a person would have a better case against me if they were injured during a BBQ on my property rather than while they were engaged in an activity where it is possibly documented that they understood that the activity in question carried some level of risk.
  3. I am too new to the game to weigh in on situations like finding a cache with a group, outside of my little crew. In my line of work, incident investigations, I tell the people filing reports that if it isn’t on paper (in the report) it didn’t happen. I am passing this on to my two little riders and searching for an hour then coming up empty is not always easy with a 10 and an 8 year old. This has happened twice. Please forgive me for not logging a DNF for those as I am still learning and those were two of our first attempts ever. If 'rideriderroad' and a date appear on a cache log, I will dutifully report it as a find.
  4. I think this is what was in my head that I wasn't sure how to articulate. If for some reason we want to split up our finds for our own records it only makes sense that we can fall back on our logs, of a joint account, where we included a brief note about who was out hunting that day.
  5. I think the consensus in our little group is that we will file a log when any part of the group adventures out. I certainly understand the desire to only have one found entry per cache. Now that I think that's resolved I can hit those two spots on the way home from work that I have been eyeing!
  6. Well I am new to the game but have always enjoyed being outside and exploring and love the idea of using tools to get my two boys to forget their videogames for a bit and stretch their legs. My problem is determining the etiquette for logging a find as a family. Do we only log a find when we are all together? Do we all need separate profiles? Can I log a find I made with the boys or my wife found with the boys while I wasn’t there? Believe me that no one in my household has even thought of this as they are really enjoying the hunt and making me carry a box of swag around in the car just in case we stop for a cache. But what do you all do when there are husband/wife or adult/child teams when it comes to documenting your finds? P.S. We aren’t even considering any challenges like 'collect 10 million caches' or 'find a cache everyday during the leap year' but I guess we could cross that bridge when we get there. Thanks for the input.
